What does a "have not heard yet" LOCI look like (as opposed to a WL LOCI). Also, I'm a Dec submit. Should I just wait to see if I'm dinged along with the Decembers or should I preemptively strike?

I sent a pre-decision LOCI to WUSTL. I have no idea if its helped or not.

Does anyone have any insight into how Stanford's admission process works? Like, the way we know that Yale and Berkeley work (some are auto admit, some go to committee)? It looks they've accepted some in as little as twelve days, others have taken longer, and rejections seem to go out in order at a snail's pace. Why wouldn't they just reject everyone en masse?

This. I feel like I can tell exactly what stage most of my apps are in - but not at Stanford - no idea.

If it's any consolation to anyone, I submitted on 9/25 and haven't heard a thing. I've basically accepted the ding at this point, so I almost wish they would hurry up and change me to "Decision Letter Sent" so I can stop obsessing over the status checker.

based on your stats/URM status I'd be surprised if you got a ding. a WL at the least.

S is my top choice and last school I'm waiting on, so hopefully you're right.

From what I've seen on graphs of other schools' decision dates, I wouldn't be surprised if the mass of reject letters goes out next week. I'm not expecting an admit at this point, but that's OK given where else I've gotten in.

Yeah, it was working earlier today for a bit, but it's down again now. A finaid officer yesterday told me that ACES (the school's end of LSAC) was having problems, so I think it's just an LSAC issue.

Not to scare everyone but what if the new dls is a change in address formatting (ex from ave -> avenue) in the status checker & we just dont know cuz none of us have received the rejection letter yet?

It's common knowledge that it changes after the adcomms Google Street View your address to see how cool your house is. Just a normal part of the process.
