I don't understand the motivations for people withdrawing at this point

- Got ED somewhere else?
- Another school gave you an offer that couldn't conceivably be surpassed by W&M?
- Think this will make a statement to W&M's adcomm?
- Just saying it on TLS to Rouse sympathy?

You're the one who paid, at least, $12 for this. You have nothing to lose by waiting, and it's not like withdrawing will "open up a spot" for someone, esp. if your numbers are low.

about 3 days.
I had already tried once previously, before I had any baragaining power. This time I used a similar sized scholarship from a top40 school. While the total dollar amounts were similar, the other school was going to be a LOT cheaper.

I emailed Tuesday & got a response Friday about military matters but not scholarships. Responded today, reply today. Was told I'd hear from the other dean later this week.

My application was "Complete" on Sep 9 last year, but the status has remained the same ever since then.

Am I put on the waitlist/on hold or what?

Yeah just keep waiting. The status checker isn't a great tool for W&M.

No, since I am at work right now, I didn't exactly have the time to read through ALL 70 pages of the thread. I did read the last 3 pages tho, and most peeps seemed to have some kind of a change on their status checker.
