Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I finally checked DLDS and the radio silence officially makes sense. Submitted mid/late Dec and completed my interview in early Jan. Unfortunately it looks like the recording of my interview decided to go on an adventure through the abyss before being received by admissions since I didn't go complete until last week. Here's to accepting my fate in this waiting game. Shout out to everyone else in the same boat, may admissions be ever in our favor

The complete date on the DLDS system can change. For example, my complete date was initially in December after I finished my interview (like early-mid December) then updated to January 5.thatblondegirl wrote:I finally checked DLDS and the radio silence officially makes sense. ETA - not that this necessarily is what happened to you, but an alternative explanation/your recording might not have gotten lost, the date might just have updated. theory is that it's like an under review date updating for other checkers but we have no way of confirming that.

I did my interview around the same time as thatblondegirl and went complete way before last week, but my DLDS status reads as complete as of last week as well for whatever it's worth. I'm going to guess that Anon.y.mousse. is correct about it. Just seems like a date update.Anon.y.mousse. wrote:The complete date on the DLDS system can change. There's usually a date in the status checker? Mine just went complete after my interview, but no date is recorded.

Thanks for the confirmation. I guess does a date appear once they start looking at the application materials?jessmeesh wrote:Also confirming. NU doesn't go through a "under review" phase. Its straight from complete to DLS.Shakawkaw wrote:Thanks for the confirmation. If you you click on "Decision Letter Delivery System" it tells you the date you went complete.jessmeesh wrote:NU doesn't go through a "under review" phase. For all y'all November-ers who still haven't heard anything, I highly recommend writing to admissions@law.northwestern.edu to see if everything is okay with your application. I did, and apparently they hadn't tracked my video submission properly, so my application was stuck in the queue. Glad I checked!

every time the Northeastern thread pops up I think its Johann for NU. whichever school's name came second was highly unimaginative

Geez. I think NU put me in the reject pile then forgot to let me know or something. As this is one of the final T14s I haven't heard back from, this wait is no fun

So...I applied in January I believe and haven't received anything about an interview. Is this normal?

Yes. You have to sign up for the interview separately, they don't reach out to you about it first.lawschool2016nyc wrote:So...I applied in January I believe and haven't received anything about an interview. Is this normal?

Alright, dumb question then but how do I go about signing up for this interview?

Did anyone apply to one of the dual LLM programs? Any idea how that will affect the decision timeline?

I did. I just assumed the timeline would be similar to that of normal applicants (i.e. slow AF, but with decisions released in the same waves).daydreamerxoxo wrote:Did anyone apply to one of the dual LLM programs? Any idea how that will affect the decision timeline?

I applied to the International Human Rights one. Was admitted Feb 10.
