Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
So I'm trying my best not to obsess over stuff like this but has anyone else who interviewed NOT had their UR status update after the interview? I went 1.5 after getting my interview invite but pre-interview and it has not updated at all since. It's still sitting at 3/7. I'm sure it doesn't mean anything but I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat since it's been over a week and people have been going UR 3.
Also ramybamy was right re decisions. Normally it was a day or so after UR4 so not likely for today. Especially since people are still interviewing.

I still really don't think there's anything worth worrying about in the discrepancy over UR dates. If the information in the "What to Expect" thread is still accurate, UR2 post-interview just indicates that the interview was completed, UR3 marks beginning of second committee review, and UR4 is what appears prior to decisions. Based on what my interviewer told me a couple weeks ago, they write up a report after your interview that is eventually added to your file. It seems entirely plausible to me that your interviewer may be a bit slower in writing that report, or that the admissions folks do the second committee reviews in batches. There are a ton of different possibilities, and I wouldn't get worried without a credible reason (i.e. anything other than the baseless speculation, including my own, in this thread).Crazy_Eyes wrote:So I'm trying my best not to obsess over stuff like this but has anyone else who interviewed NOT had their UR status update after the interview? Haha yeah fair enough. It was more the lack of any UR2 post interview and seeing if anyone else was still waiting too. Obviously I'm failing today in the "don't overthink things" category.

I hope you don't worry about this over the weekend! I was in the same boat--my UR date didn't update until around 10 days after my interview and I was admitted.Crazy_Eyes wrote:So I'm trying my best not to obsess over stuff like this but has anyone else who interviewed NOT had their UR status update after the interview? So, it seems like there are interviews going on on Monday still. Then, maybe let's give them three or four days for a March 31 / April 1 admit/waitlist/deny wave?

Oh boy, same day as the fabled last JS2 wave for Harvard. I get the feeling that next week is going to be a rough one.Simplicius wrote:berek wrote:I mean, it's not yet 6:40 forum time...but, absolutely I'm calling it for the day / the sake of my sanity.hopeful94 wrote:And it's 6:40... Has anyone who has been waitlisted sent a LOCI yet? If so, did you send it by mail or email?
Just curious for a bit of guidance here.

I sent one via email the day after I was put on the waitlist (back in January).nate3869 wrote:Has anyone who has been waitlisted sent a LOCI yet? If so, did you send it by mail or email?

It was early last week, so I changed right after the interview; then again on Friday and then again today.
(all of these date changes are pretty confusing)

I'm not a 100% sure but I'm pretty sure you can be waitlisted without an interview.plzacceptmethx wrote:Does it even matter if I am UR3 if i was not interviewed?

Me too. I don't count on Chicago, though. People with my stats are very likely to be dinged or waitlisted. I'm blessed to survive till UR3.DeanStrangJr wrote:I'm still showing UR 3/24...

Hello wonderful people.
I applied last week and my application went complete on 3/23... what do ya'll think my chances are of hearing a decision before May?
Since my application has gone complete, are they obligated to make a decision on my app in the same timely (or untimely) fashion that they do for everyone else?

Weirdly enough, my status checker updated to 3/28 sometime in the last few hours after being stuck at 3/15 after my interview, with no transition in between like others have reported. Not sure what this means, and still trying to not read too much into the updates, but thought some of you might find it interesting!

I had interview on 17th, status date changed from 3/4 to 3/28 like yesterday. Could've been today. First date change after interview... I can tell it's progressing, but I seem to be behind than most.

I think you're spot on with the bolded. We can't know what they're gonna do. We just have to ride it out and try not to stresspint wrote:Weirdly enough, my status checker updated to 3/28 sometime in the last few hours after being stuck at 3/15 after my interview, with no transition in between like others have reported. Just noticed I went UR3 3/28 sometime late last night EST. No interview, UR1 1/29, UR2 3/15. I'm anxious to speculate any outcome, but at least some sign I haven't been forgotten and possibly a decision coming soon. Maybe today's the lucky day?

I think I have the same exact dates as you. Also no interview. We're in this together, friend!gjs13 wrote:Just noticed I went UR3 3/28 sometime late last night EST. No interview, UR1 1/29, UR2 3/15.
