Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
I just got in a few minutes ago! I just talked my parents ears off about it. I applied and interviewed this week and didn't think my interview went great (I was nervous).
Yeah I know that other upper level schools do it so I was just wondering. Not trying to be facetious. Just trying to see what my options are going to be. My bad.
Only 6 out of 693 students have a stipend. Aside from lsn, I highly recommend googling the name of the law schools you are interested in with "aba 509" and looking at the form. It lists 25th, 50th, 75th percentiles for lsat, gpa, AND amount of tuition offered. It also includes the total number of students receiving grants (76.2) and the percentage of those students receiving <1/2 tuition scholarship (30.9), >1/2 to full (32.6), and full (11.
. There's other interesting stuff on the form like # of transfers, their GPA, # of apps, # of offers, and bar passage rate. Now look at Fordham's aba 509.
Many schools offer this (including several in the T-14). Just not sure about WashU.
thatssoraven wrote:didnt mean to be asinine or anythingWinston1984 wrote: Why is this so funny? Seems like a legit question. Haven't heard of people getting stipends before. Maybe some of the '17ers in this thread can answer that definitively?
when i read raven's post i literally spewed my coffee and was just posting to reflect this
i just never heard of someone getting a full ride + stipend. if its happened all power to those who got it

(every day i dont hear back, my optimism is going down D;) i dont want the debts that i incur from law school loans to constrain my career choices which i am sure about: big law is not for moi i think. kudos to who can do big law tho, u go get that

Yeah last year a group of us all met up at ASW, then met current students at bar review. Then the following night got dinner after the day's activities and then went to a bar and some more current students met up with us there. So basically, I'd advise you all to do that.LadyProspero wrote:calawgrl wrote:i'm gonna be at asw too, let's all have a tls meet up?
