How long after requesting credentials were you able to actually log into the ASW?louisv123 wrote:5 days. 5 days of anguish might I add. Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
From reading past threads it does seem possible to get off the regular waitlist. GULC does seem to go to the special preferred and preferred waitlists at the beginning, but by the middle/end of summer they seemed to start pulling people from all of them. Once they get a better idea of their class they will start selecting on needs (splitters, reverse splitters, URMs, etc.) rather than what level waitlist.lawstudent2018 wrote:Waitlisted

I have the same question as Moneytrees - what are chances of getting off of regular waitlist (not preferred)?
Also, GULC waitlist thread is up and running for anyone recently waitlisted: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=242943

Just to clarify... Georgetown doesn't have dates on status check, correct?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Today was the date that I expected to hear my ED response. No snail mail or email.
Based on comments on this board I requested a password on the ASW using my last name and email address. I received the following reply: "Your Username and Password were successfully sent to your email address." Does this really mean with unequivocal certainty that I am admitted?

Hope so. I was unable to log in with the user name and password provided in the email generated in response to my request. How long did it take others to be able to log in and eventually get their snail or email from admissions?

Just a few messages above you somebody said it took them ~5 days to be able to log in. Snail mail will vary depending on where you live. I don't think they email anything?DDonuts wrote:Gray wrote:Yes.DDonuts wrote:Today was the date that I expected to hear my ED response. No snail mail or email.

Freaking out! Complete since 01/05, and not a peep since! Not even an invite for an interview.
My LSAT/GPA are both between the 25 and 50, so I think I've got a shot (especially since I have strong work experiences), but now I'm starting to get worried.
Is it a bad sign they don't want to interview?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Had my alumni interview today--my interviewer was the sweetest person. I was initially nervous for this interview but it was easy because she had clearly looked over my resume, so she asked quite specific questions and it was easy to respond. Only question she asked outside of my resume was Why Georgetown. The interview definitely made me have warm fuzzy feelings towards GULC.
Was it a bad idea though to not disclose where else I had gotten in? She asked and I kinda trailed off and didn't answer after saying yes.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
I was <25 on both counts and was lucky enough to get waitlisted, probably because of obnoxious softs and a very good personal statement/diversity statement. Wasn't asked for an interview, plan on visiting soon to try to get off the waitlist. I got waitlisted even though I know people with MUCH higher stats than me that got rejected. SO, you certainly still have a shot.pamiam1218 wrote:Freaking out! Complete since 01/05, and not a peep since! Not even an invite for an interview.

Does anyone know if the ASW password request is case sensitive? I don't want to waste time obsessively typing every version of my email address on my cell phone keyboard.

I'm LSAT>75th, 25th>GPA>50th and I interviewed two weeks ago. Still nothing and can't login to admitted students page. I wonder if I should give up hope. Is this YP or do they just not like me?

I think that a lot of people had a decision about two weeks after their interview, but there were also quite a few that had three weeks+, so I wouldn't give up hope just yet.ticklemesilly wrote:I'm LSAT>75th, 25th>GPA>50th and I interviewed two weeks ago. Can someone clarify on how decisions are sent out? Acceptances are a postcard to the mailing and/or permanent address and denials are emailed? What about WL?

WL are emails as well as denials. Acceptances come via regular mail in a small envelope some time around when you are able to request your username and password from the ASW.mekepo wrote:Can someone clarify on how decisions are sent out? Anyone else in "held" bucket with a decision promised by 2/28 and not a word since that notice? Complete first week of Dec, interviewed first week of Jan, held second week of Jan. Holler back at ya boy Georgetown!
