Depending on where you live, you can make at least 5 minutes of your interview tomorrow a convo about the snow and how cold it is this winter. Weather conversation builds camaraderie.KatyMarie wrote:I'd trade you. My only available time slot is literally tomorrow. AKA very little preparation. Good luck with your interview! I will admit it will be nice to be done.

True! Atlanta has completely stopped working due to snow and ice. Haven't had a full day of work since Monday....I hope my cabin fever doesn't come out in the interviewjingosaur wrote:Depending on where you live, you can make at least 5 minutes of your interview tomorrow a convo about the snow and how cold it is this winter. Warning: if you live in Atlanta, trying to commiserate with someone from Chicago about the weather might not work very well.KatyMarie wrote:True! What's the twitter handle of the dude who works in the admissions department who people have discussed?
I can't seem to see the exact handle, I know he sometimes give info on the next interview dates/decision dates.

I can't tell if you're thinking about Johann from NU or the @UChicagoLawApps admissions Twitter feed. I don't think anyone has talked about a dude from admissions having an individual Twitter account. I could be wrong, though.c0llegeStUd3nt wrote:What's the twitter handle of the dude who works in the admissions department who people have discussed?

Didn't apply to UChi, but wanted to share this hilarious story:
A fellow 0L friend who has a 167/3.9x was offered an interview (they were also peace corps volunteers.). They accepted and scheduled the interview.
Totally blew off the interview. They realized they had, and sent an email to UChi 24 hours later asking them to reschedule.

So, I went to the status checker today, and now there's a space for a seat deposit...was this always there and I never noticed it, or should I be fainting with joy?

you're right, I was thinking of NU. My bad! Thanks for linking me to @UChicagoLawApps though. I didn't know about that one either.Ricky-Bobby wrote:I can't tell if you're thinking about Johann from NU or the @UChicagoLawApps admissions Twitter feed. Is the Doctoroff program for people interested in biglaw, or people who plan on being "not-lawyers?" Would a lack of a finance oriented job prevent admission?

Very likely decisions come out today. I hope they do just so I can tell midwest that I'm right and he's wrong. Getting accepted would also be pretty awesome.

What is the earliest UR (after interview) that is waiting on a decision? Is it UR 1/29?

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
FINALLY UR TODAY!
Not expecting to get in though.
What are the timelines usually? I looked at the what to expect when you're expecting but couldn't tell if it meant how long it took to get to X or how long you stay in X. Took a long time for me to go UR. Complete --> UR1 took 4 weeks.
