We'll see what happens with the Aston, I asked recently and the guy in charge said that they received more requests to live in the Aston than usual, some people who got in before are still on the waiting list for the Aston. He didn't say what the timetable for finding out about it would be thoughgatorgirl2012 wrote:Sorry my attempt at a consolation is mootJayJones78 wrote:gatorgirl2012 wrote:If you look at last year's thread, some people were offered a room at the Aston if they were accepted in July or August. That's really considerate, given that you'll probably have already made housing arrangements somewhere else.
I'm really hoping to see some movement this week!! Since I have a dog I don't think I can use school housingThough really, sooner is much preferable for a variety of reasons, notably my mental stability

was everything done over email?
Also: LSN shows a few WL->accepts that were done yesterday so I assume they made a few offers. I also assume that the majority of the offers will be made by Friday and then another wave will prob happen after the June 21st deposit deadline for the WL offers.
this waiting game is no fun

Question: how do you find out if you got a scholarship
Or not? Is it usually included in the email or only via the portal?!

Yeah. Got it at 4:30pm (EST). I wonder if the e-mails were sent to everyone in the waitlist or just to some people. It would make a huge difference. Probably the former though.

I think there will be many more like you who will wonder up until the jun21 deadline, so I think that those who didn't hear anything will prob continue to get radio silence up until then. the 21st is also a Friday, so the game will prob resume the week of June 23rd...

Hi all-
For PT program, does anyone have any indication if the orientation will be held during the evening or day for our program? Also, does anyone know when classes are held (M-TH? how many hours?) just trying to figure out how this is all going to go with my job!
Thanks

You usually do it this month. Yes the grad plus covers the rest. Do you have "adverse" credit history? You can get your free credit report online and look. Its literally in a section on your report. That's the basis for which it is established. Ive already gone through the process of the appeal and know a lot about it if you (or anyone else) wants to pm me. Although I finally got the appeal done wiith but turns out I didn't even need the grad plus (thx WUSTL)BitterSplitter wrote:Has anyone gone thru the process of accepting student loans yet? What happens if the federal loan s and your scholarship don't cover the full COA? Is this where the grad plus loan comes in? Bc I'm worried about the fact that its based on your credit and if it doesn't go thru I'm not gonna have any other way to get the rest of the difference. Thanks

Re: George Washington c/o 2016
Unfortunately, I've been told by GW's financial aid department that they don't send out the loan requests to the Feds until July 15th at the earliest. Which means you can't complete the request process until then. In my case, I know I have adverse credit, but I'm told I still have to go through the process, get denied, then appeal with a co-signer with good credit (which thankfully I have).BitterSplitter wrote:Has anyone gone thru the process of accepting student loans yet? It's going to make for a stressful July/August, but I'm told it almost always gets worked out
