Oh yes. If you're the second person offered, you get a letter stating that you were not the first choice for the Hamilton, but you'll have to do. It also won't fit right and will smell a bit like your aunt.twinkletoes16 wrote:Do they recycle the hamiltons or no?

Big package from Northwestern was deceptive, but alas, no VCE out in LA today, as expected.
Is it just me, or have a larger-than-usual number of the applicants who heard back today received Hamiltons? They aren't exactly given out like candy. Could this mean anything?

I'm pretty sure they must be mailing multiple batches. Too many strong local candidates haven't heard today. (This sounds like exactly what I said after the first day of JS2s and I ended up being right--it just didn't end well for me.Mr. Elshal wrote:Seems as though many (but not all) locals haven't heard yet. Congrats to everyone else, though!

On the other hand, I'm kind of hoping that I was actually in this batch, that the mail system is messed up here and that I get mine tomorrow. Time will tell.

I believe I am thinking what you're thinking. To some, the prospect of no hamilton might seem disappointing.. but to me, the prospect of a larger number of acceptances alone is thrilling.spyke123 wrote:Are you thinking what I am thinking??? a second batch without scho offers is right around the corner??jbagelboy wrote:Big package from Northwestern was deceptive, but alas, no VCE out in LA today, as expected.

I'm not sure which part is real and which isn't. Do they really tell you you weren't the first choice?!

Admitted today - no scholarship.

My wife had a good laugh as I dug through my acceptance packet looking for $$$, found nothing, and scowled.

This and your profile confuse me. Both $ regard and are you a boy or a girl? Not trying to be heteronormative just confused

That happened to me too! I was FRANTICALLY reading through every page and my roommate was like, 'Dude, you got in, it says right there.' And when I told her what I was looking for she laughed at meUtilityMonster wrote:Admitted today - no scholarship.

I knew I had no shot at a Hamilton (damn you test anxiety and freshman GPA), but I really thought I would get a Butler.

Looks like 32 full or more than full-tuition scholarships, but I believe that includes public interest fellowships, about which I know nothing. So I'd guess around 20.sinfiery wrote:From the ABA data:

Nah, I think the negative karma I built up last night will prevent me from getting a Hamilton. Friend's facebook status was "Hamilton > Jefferson" so I commented "Burr > Hamilton." Apparently, history grad students consider that a low blowtrojandave wrote:Lav ain't messing around. (I really hope you get that Hammy tomorrow)

So 20/yr, or is it 8/yr? That data makes it seem like 8 or so per year actually take the hamilton...
