For those of us more recent waiters, (UR 1/18) does Berkeley have an intermediate status between UR and decision rendered? Also, what is the standard waiting period (not for those who have been tortured and UR since early december/november)?

I am curious as well. I am a 1/19 UR, and I wonder if there are any status changes / date changes between now and when a decision is rendered.

I don't think there's an intermediate status. I went UR 1/18 and got the acceptance email 1/23 so I think the waiting period really depends on the individual.

So perfectly symmetrical. 11... 22. It's beautiful in it's simplicity and elegance. 11 twice is 22: how perfect. Each time I log in to check my status I am comforted by the presence of my old friend, 11/22. We've been together now for quite a while, 11/22 and I. At one time, I shared my lovely friend 11/22 between Penn and Berkeley, but I have since moved on with Penn.

And now it's just you, me, and 11/22, dear Berkeley. Let's ride it to the end.

Accepted 1/23 via email! I went under review on January 17. Nice turn around time.

I don't know if I can take that kind of rejection on Valentine's Day (I have a low GPA) even if they send a box of consolation chocolates in the cliche red heart-shaped box.

Just got an email informing me I'm going to faculty review. Originally submitted mid-October.

I write to inform you that your application at UC Berkeley Law School has passed an initial administrative review and has been selected for further consideration by the Faculty Admissions Committee. The Committee will begin deliberation on your application on January 27. We anticipate a final decision will be reached on or around February 17.

Faculty review as well. My gmail didn't have a new mail notification, so my heart sank a bit when I read here about faculty review emails.

UR since around 10/19. Low GPA (3.5ish) so actually pleasantly surprised they're going to give me a second look.
