Sadly, every time I check my status checker and it hasn't updated, I feel like I have won some small victory.

You know there is consolation in the fact that people with higher stats have not heard back yet. So there's still hope. I'm reminding myself of this every day.

I believe we have admits from December filers.

Yeah we do have december admits.... although as far as rejections go, I've yet to see any of the December ones go out

On LSN, an applicant that went complete on Oct. 18 was rejected yesterday. It's creeping up on us.

Everyone who isn't a ding or admit is on a de facto hold until later time.

None reported here (that I know of) but then again, there is a vast pool of applicants that we're not in touch with . So who knows.

Anyone know whether SLS has a Stanford obsession? Just wondering if they view Stanford undergrads or other Stanford affiliates in a more positive light than other institutions might.

hahaha well, we are on the better side of the bay. and we are bears rather than a... tree. and we have a richer student body. better food. more culture. what can i say? Go BEARS!

Still love Stanford though. The rivalry is just a lot of fun.

sorry. Im still holding steady at 10/18 for the moment... Really ready to have all this done with. Stress of uncertainty is starting to get to me. Still another month or so before all the major financial aid offers/finalist notifications are out.

There are a ton of former Stanford UGs here, but there are a lot of Yalies too. I dunno if that means the admissions office views them in any particularly favorable light or if it's simply a product of application numbers.

I heard that Stanford graduate schools in general, (Law, Business, Medicine, Education, etc) generally favor non-Stanford UGs rather than Stanford UGs because they want Stanford UGs to get a new experience... but that may be outdated due to the poor job market, increased applicants, etc. Just something I heard about 3 years ago...
