i got (and a lot of others on here i think) a 5k award that can be used for 1L summer if you do PI, tuition 2L, or towards summer in Venice tuition (which i assume would not be this summer?)

What about Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai, London, Frankfurt, or Singapore? If you're going to study abroad, at least go somewhere you can network for a job.

No, there's no IR/UR status. You sit at complete for an unpredictable amount of time and then one day you get a decision mailed date. Got a decision finally. I called FedEx however and they said they don't see any packages coming to me. The FedEx lady said that it doesn't mean I don't have a package, just means they need a tracking number to see it.
I'm failing to find the optimist in me however. Anyone else get a decision on this date?

Most certainly. At the very least I would guess WL + admission later on if you really love it and lobby for it. Although it might be straight admit. They're a small school, so I would imagine that, like other small schools, they have a bit less flexibility with over-admitting... you might just need to hang in there for some people to withdraw and for admissions to get a better sense of their enrollment numbers.Moral_Midgetry wrote:I've been complete for over two months and haven't heard anything. I'll say this for the WL people as well - the only two people I know at Vandy (a 1L and a 2L) both got in off the wait list (a bit deep into the summer, but still, they're there, and they love it!) - so keep hope alive if Vandy is your first love.
Also, again for WL people, Vandy doesn't have a rep for happy students for no reason. I think if you show you are interested (LOCI, additional LORs, etc.), they will generally er on the side of a student who really wants to be there.
Disclaimer: limited sample size of legitimately TWO people, but still.
