I don't know how long you have been waiting but I have been in limbo since the beginning of January and still haven't heard.

Hey guys, I've been admitted a while ago and was wondering if anyone could help me with a financial aid question.

Situation:
I received an incomplete financial aid application notice because they needed proof that I was a citizen. The email also stated that I will not be considered for any aid until my financial aid application is complete. The email noted that aid will be given out on an availability basis. I received this notice a month ago, and have sent my proof of citizenship today.

Question:
Am I screwed because I didn't provide proof right away? Could this have deterred them from offering me a merit scholarship? Or is the financial aid application irrelevant to scholarship determination?

If it helps, I'm above both 75ths. I'm just wondering if UNC didn't consider me for any aid because of my own error, or because they just ran out of money.

Any help would be appreciated!

I tried going through and doing an analysis, but are all decisions sent via email?
It looks like the WL cycle from last Friday was email, and dings are i think, but I didn't find much info about Accepts.

Anyone have a better dataset (past years cycles for exmaple) for this?

I'm waiting on a decision out of spite. UNC was one of my favorite schools at the start of the cycle; I actually waited 2 extra weeks to send in my app because I wanted to proof my essays for them. Since I took the time to do their ridiculous app (who do they think they are?!), they will in turn be required to take the time to give me a response.

The only thing luring me from UGA at this point is Vandy.

My stomach is tied up in knots. UNC is going to give me an ulcer, I am certain of it.

I agree with some previous posts regarding UNC being a #1 choice at the beginning of the application process, but this ridiculous waiting isn't worth the destruction of my mental health!

My friend's widsom: "Chill out Katie. They just do everything slow in the south." Ha ha.

The University of Arizona has made me feel loved and appreciated. Leaning toward choosing them.
