Forget admissions, they should hire someone to replace Asha then force her to blog about Yale full-time. She could also use that new free time to update her cultural references.

I've been complete since early October and haven't heard anything yet. Has anyone else been waiting THIS long?!

Re: Yale 2010
Just saw this again, and was wondering about it -- I sent in a supplemental LOR at the end of January, went complete 11/19. I know that supplemental materials aren't added to files that have already gone to faculty members, so is there any evidence, after all, that faculty review starts in mid-late February, and not earlier?
rowlf wrote:To address a few sentiments above, I'm pretty sure all accepts and rejects up until now were ad-comm decisions, as from what I understand, faculty review starts in mid/late February.

I'm in the same boat - applied in early October and haven't heard a peep from Yale. Sitting on acceptances from H and S... really hoping that the long wait doesn't just mean we're headed to the waitlist....

A quick update (numbers courtesy of LSN):
Yale: 21 acceptances
Stanford: 40 acceptances
These numbers exclude obvious flames.

Yale is the only law school that doesn't talk about the law, and this is the only school thread that doesn't talk about its school. I think we're perfectly respecting the institution we aspire to attend.Herb Watchfell wrote:Out of respect for the institution you all aspire to attend, please stay the f- on topic.

Indeed. Yale students merely speculate about what should be.Nightrunner wrote:180tomhobbes wrote:Yale is the only law school that doesn't talk about the law, and this is the only school thread that doesn't talk about its school. To take this nicely back off topic, I find this statement fittingly ironic coming from someone whose SN reference is about 350 years more out of date than her political theory reference.tomhobbes wrote:Forget admissions, they should hire someone to replace Asha then force her to blog about Yale full-time. That said, Hobbes > Rawls. (At least, relative to their time periods)

Yale: 49 acceptances

Didn't check for flames.
Could Yale still have 60 percent of its acceptances outstanding? I find that sort of unbelievable.

My guess, based on the current size of the facebook group, is that this is not unlikely.crackberry wrote:Last year:Kronk wrote:So I know Stanford accepted 66 or so people last year, what about Yale? 40?crackberry wrote:A quick update (numbers courtesy of LSN):

I am not applying until October, but Asha makes we want to go to Yale so bad
I can only imagine the kind of support systems for enrolled students, if admits are given such consideration. I'm not trying to kiss up (like I said I did not apply) I just think she's rad...Yes I said rad.

Re: Yale 2010
I visited on a random Tuesday in early February, and YLS really opened up its doors for me. I was able to meet with the Financial Aid, Career Development, and Admissions Offices, speak with faculty members, students, and Dean Post, and attend a talk about the AIG financial crisis -- a pretty amazing experience for a public school kidConfused&Pissed wrote:I am not applying until October, but Asha makes we want to go to Yale so badI can only imagine the kind of support systems for enrolled students, if admits are given such consideration.
