Man, sorry to hear about it. It'll be fine though you've got into some great schools!Mr_Chukes wrote:I replied back in November. I only applied because they reached out to me with a fee waiver and then had BLSA email me as well. I even talked to a BLSA member on the phone. They emailed me right now and said to check my update on the status checker. When I clicked it, there was a letter.20171lhopeful wrote:Sorry to hear that. When did you apply? And when did they email you? Harvard was always a super reach so I'm expecting a ding. Side Note: I'm in for a very stressful weekend so a JS2 tomorrow morning would certainly make it a lot easier.

Had my JS1 today, interviewer said decisions could come out anytime between now and April, another wave might be coming soon!

I'm in the same boat. Submitted mid/late Jan. The wait is on!Kinch08 wrote:All these people who applied early in January and got JS1's just now are really making me wish that I'd gotten my LOR's in order earlier so that I could've applied then. I could be waiting until freaking March, god damn.

I realize there's probably already a lot written somewhere on the stats of this, but I'm wondering how many of those who are offered an interview are eventually accepted. Are they genuinely trying to whittle down the pool of applicants by half, or is it more of a rubber stamp? Further, I saw somewhere that one can expect to wait 4-6 weeks after the interview to get a decision. That would mean I wouldn't hear anything until the end of March most likely. Is that really likely? Or are they generally faster than that?

About 75% of people who get interviewed get accepted. Roughly 1200 JS1's -> 900 JS2's.kpadoreo wrote:I realize there's probably already a lot written somewhere on the stats of this, but I'm wondering how many of those who are offered an interview are eventually accepted. The numbers I've seen elsewhere (which may be outdated by a couple of years by now) are 5500 apps, 1200 interviewed (JS1), 900 accepted (JS2), and 550-560 enrolled.kpadoreo wrote:I realize there's probably already a lot written somewhere on the stats of this, but I'm wondering how many of those who are offered an interview are eventually accepted. Okay I saw those numbers as well somewhere but wasn't sure whether they were reliable.
Any idea on the timeline? Would a February decision be possible??
