Re: UC Berkeley School of Law C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
My LSAT makes Berkeley quite the reach. I'm holding out hope that my softs being super Berkeley-friendly and my reverse splitter status will give me a shot overall given Berkeley's reputation for looking at a file more holistically and preferring high GPA, but there's no way that I'm getting admitted outright.chandhi wrote:Same but I'm holding onto hope for getting admitted outright hahajza1994 wrote:Sorry to spoil the hope here, but I have the mailings section now, too, (and also didn't have it before) and I am not on FR. I've been UR1 since 2/6. And I'm definitely not getting admitted outright.
Also I thought the box was there before...
Maybe, but I never noticed it before if it was.

LOL I love how all of us never noticed that section before and now we're looking for scrapsabc12345678 wrote:Mr_Chukes wrote:Probably has been. I have it as well. I was thinking the status date would update if it was different.abc12345678 wrote:Fairly sure that's always been there.dwall1121 wrote:Just went to check the status checker and now there is like a "mailings" section but the box is all grey with like nothing listed in it. I don't remember this being here when I checked yesterday but I might be going crazy. Under FR; didn't know if this was like a sign of something/if other people are seeing this too/if I'm just being neurotic per usual?
Oooo did it do that last time?

Are we thinking that tomorrow is going to be WL/deny and Friday acceptances, or all at once?charles117 wrote:Glgl again tomorrow guys. Hopefully we all make it through fr.

Looks like the dings/WLs came earlier on the same day as the acceptances for FR2 last yearabc12345678 wrote:Are we thinking that tomorrow is going to be WL/deny and Friday acceptances, or all at once?charles117 wrote:Glgl again tomorrow guys. Hopefully we all make it through fr.

Bump for sending good vibes out into the universe (or at the very least as far as Boalt Hall).

My neurotic ass called fin aid and they said merit aid wouldn't be coming out until late March. But honestly the person sounded like a student who was unsure so take this with a grain of salt

That's why I think the person just didn't know what they were talking about. But then again, this is Berk so all bets are offVA2lawschool wrote:Wait what?? so, my theory is the Feb date may have been just descriptive of sending out BLOS info. Because that happened around 2/14ish, right? perhaps the culprit is just imprecise language rather than straight up lies.jdanz wrote:That's why I think the person just didn't know what they were talking about. Also, they made a big deal about getting your fin aid apps in asap so you could know your scholly before ASW so this end of March business is REALLY bothering me

That's seems unlikely, because those were just invites to finalists, correct? Also, the language on the website refers to "offers" being given out around Feb 15th, and specifically under a heading of "automatically reviewed" awards.blackbetty92 wrote:so, my theory is the Feb date may have been just descriptive of sending out BLOS info. all we need to send was CSS and FAFSA, right?airwrecka wrote:If I were not at work, I would call! So...someone else pleasebig_willy_style_333 wrote:If only someone else would call... Yup! And if you wanted to merit-only, you didn't need to send anything (well, maybe FAFSA...I sent itKeilz wrote:all we need to send was CSS and FAFSA, right?airwrecka wrote:If I were not at work, I would call! Hoping B gets more generous with merit aid this year.
I'm thinking I'll get fukt if it goes more towards need aid this year.
