I'm reapplying. do you think it's okay to revise my PS instead of write a new one? I have a higher GPA and LSAT this time, and I really like my old PS. I figured it'd be okay to just revise that one. thoughts?

My understanding is reapplicants should have substantial changes in PS but same topic is ok, unless the essay is like perfect and can't get better.
I'm writing a totally new one for this cycle

if you don't want to change up your PS completely, perhaps you could differentiate your application as a whole from last cycle's (with more than just improved stats) by writing a "Why X" if you didn't write one last time, or changing / adding to an existing statement.proteinshake wrote:I'm reapplying. do you think it's okay to revise my PS instead of write a new one? i mean, bo3 was ok, not the greatest but ok. the only thing i like about IW is the sniping. it might just be me but it feels perfect.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:BF1 beta was dope.Mikey wrote:friend sayd BF1 is amazing. we were playing the IW beta earlier and he raged off of it and went to BF1 lolproteinshake wrote:ew get Battlefield 1.LibertyKoko wrote:Do I wanna buy Call of Duty Infinite Warfare or keep spending money on apps? I actually started writing a new one and am almost done with a new draft. same sort of message, just focusing on how a different part of my life relates to it. I don't wanna risk looking lazy or anything. I am basically turning my Why Penn from last cycle into a PS.MindBodyAbs wrote:if you don't want to change up your PS completely, perhaps you could differentiate your application as a whole from last cycle's (with more than just improved stats) by writing a "Why X" if you didn't write one last time, or changing / adding to an existing statement.proteinshake wrote:I'm reapplying. do you think it's okay to revise my PS instead of write a new one? Sent a few emails on Friday asking for fee waivers. Haven't heard anything back and it's now Tuesday. I thought schools were usually quicker to respond than this? It's not a huge deal, I just want to submit my apps ASAP. Does anybody have an experience with schools taking a while to respond to fee waiver requests?

I sent my LOR writers my resume/personal statement so they'd have something to work off of.

Just a question
If I decide to retake in December, and apply this cycle, do you guys think it would be a problem if I need 1 course to finish my BA if I take that 1 course during the first session of the summer? Does anyone know about this?

nope that's fine. I called Cornell about it last year, but generally you just need your degree before school starts.Mikey wrote:Just a question

I emailed UVA about this FWIW, and they told me they need your final transcript by August 1st per an ABA requirement. That final transcript has to note the fact that you've graduated, which they said could take a few weeks after your last class is completed. So as long as you meet that August 1st, 2017 deadline, you'd be in the clear.Mikey wrote:Just a question

Hmm, thanks! If I did do this, I'd most likely take a class that ends at the end of June, so I think that would be a sufficient amount of time.PDX4343 wrote:I emailed UVA about this FWIW, and they told me they need your final transcript by August 1st per an ABA requirement. There is nothing that says you can't ask a letter writer to see a letter before they submit it. You waive rights to request the letter directly from the school without the letter writers knowledge (there are some rules that you have access to anything in your personal academic files or such, so if you don't explicitly waive rights then you can always ask the school to see the letter and they don't or maybe even can't tell the letter writer they are giving you the letter).HennessyVSOP wrote:

The average for the take-home exam in my Middle Eastern Politics class was a 72 (100 for me). Our professor even gave us 90 percent of the test, 2 weeks in advance to give us ample time to prepare for the essays lmao. College is literally telling me to just do other stuffSweetTort wrote:I literally can't stand the class I'm about to go to. No content whatsoever.

Pretty sure it is fine. A raving half page is leagues ahead of a bland page and a half. If it's contents are something along the lines of "This is one of the best students I have ever taught", then roll with it.haley12 wrote:My LOR writer just sent me her letter... and it's like half a page.
