Hi Everyone- I was able to generate a login (username and password sent to my email) yesterday but when I use them to try to log in to the ASW, it doesn't work. Did anyone else have this happen? Does it still mean an acceptance?

Most probably, yes. I generated a login back in December and got my letter two days later. The login wasn't activated until a couple days after that.entlaw2019 wrote:Hi Everyone- I was able to generate a login (username and password sent to my email) yesterday but when I use them to try to log in to the ASW, it doesn't work. Awesome- Thank you Tycho! I was really excited I could request a login since I had seen posts about that meaning acceptance but was thrown a bit when I couldn't use the info to log into the site. I really appreciate the response!Tycho wrote:Most probably, yes. I generated a login back in December and got my letter two days later. This may be a silly question, but how do you know if Georgetown is not going to offer you scholarship? Obviously you will know if they do, because they email you, but if they don't, is there a certain date by which you just assume you're not receiving an offer?

One of my LOR writers that I am pretty close to forwarded me a message he received from the Dean of Admissions thanking him for writing a letter and how the letter is integral to evaluating me etc etc. Has anyone else heard of this? I'm hoping it means my file is under review.lol

Based on previous poster's comments and personal experience, it seems that they send the emails to all of the applicant's recommenders. It's difficult to know whether your application is actually under review because the status checker doesn't update past "Application Completed". Hope this helps!JuliusCaesar wrote:One of my LOR writers that I am pretty close to forwarded me a message he received from the Dean of Admissions thanking him for writing a letter and how the letter is integral to evaluating me etc etc. Has anyone else heard of this? I submitted 11/20, interview requested like...12/8? Interviewed 12/18. I really thought I was going to be a WL since it took so long post-interview to hear from them, so this was a happy surprise!

I know someone asked this a page or so back, but I never saw an answer. Does GULC offer any travel stipends for their admitted student days? I would love to go to one in March, but traveling to DC seems like it might be expensive.

No travel stipends, and I don't think the student housing is available for the March Open house because of the proximity to law school finals.hammocklv06 wrote:Nope, the only assistance is that you can stay with a current student to avoid hotel costs.maracuya wrote:I think the answer is no, but is Georgetown offering any sort of financial assistance for the January open house? Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
How does the whole admitted students website check thing work?
When I put my last name and email in it sends me a login to the admitted students website, but then anytime I try to login it says invalid username/password.
I'm guessing this means that I've either been dinged or they haven't made a decision yet, but I got excited when I got the email haha.

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Based on earlier posts, I think you can (hopefully) expect an acceptance letter in the mail soon. You may have to wait a little longer to get into the ASW, but the consensus has been that generating a login indicates acceptance. Best of luck!zinnzinn wrote:How does the whole admitted students website check thing work?

I was shocked when it generated login info for me, so if I accidentally found out I was accepted that would be awesome, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.lawlzi wrote:Based on earlier posts, I think you can (hopefully) expect an acceptance letter in the mail soon. It's been confirmed by comments in this thread about fifty times, as well as in the OP and the what to expect thread, that generating a login indicates admission.
Congratulations!
