I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to be rude; was referring to myself. I'm waitlisted at pretty much all of the T8 schools so I'm just freaking out at this point.Topszn wrote:Ah shit my bad! Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
So I'm torn. I want to start rooting for a wave today because the date change usually coincides with a wave of decisions within the next couple of days. Waves usually come out like late afternoon/early evening. Except it's a Friday. More specifically, it's Good Friday. A ton of people probably aren't working today, meaning that it might not make sense to hope for a wave. At the same time why would a date change come yesterday if the wave isn't coming until Monday?

I remain optimistic about a wave today. I have no idea how things work at the admissions office, but I imagine it wouldn't be too labor intensive to send out an email to a listserv of admitted students.hopeful94 wrote:So I'm torn. I had my Financial Aid interview with Duke today. Completely different office, obviously, but goes to show that at least one other school is working on Good Friday, and I fully expect a lot of them to be given that this is a massively busy time in the admissions season. I have faith!hopeful94 wrote:So I'm torn. I want to start rooting for a wave today because the date change usually coincides with a wave of decisions within the next couple of days. I like the optimism. Here's hoping. Come on Chicago, don't keep up on the hook.Topszn wrote:I had my Financial Aid interview with Duke today. Cornell is also open today so as someone who had a date change yesterday I am holding out hope!hopeful94 wrote:I like the optimism. Here's hoping. Is the interview at a specific UR stage? I made the mistake of not obsessively checking my status checker, so idk what stage I'm at. Last update was yesterday.

FWIW I know in the first wave (and am pretty sure it's true with the others as well) the admissions office sends a tweet when the wave begins. Good luck to you all in the meantime!

For anyone else wondering - seems like the past waves occurred in the evening. Acceptance posts tended to start around 6:30 PM forum time, so we're not out of the woods for a wave today.

Dumb Q but what time is 'forum time' now? I'm on GMT so it's 7:45pm. Need to know when I can start/stop fretting...

Default seems to be Central Time -> so it's currently "2:49 PM". I'm in EDT (3:49PM)Topszn wrote:berek wrote:For anyone else wondering - seems like the past waves occurred in the evening. Acceptance posts tended to start around 6:30 PM forum time, so we're not out of the woods for a wave today.

Wait so we're not giving up home on a wave today? It's 4:11PM my time. This seems pretty late for movement...

It might be a reach, but the March 2nd wave was definitely in the evening: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=1500hopeful94 wrote:Wait so we're not giving up home on a wave today? It's 4:11PM my time. This seems pretty late for movement...

Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Here's the deal. We're giving it another 2 hours and if we hear nothing we're packing it up and revisiting on Monday. Fair? My sanity can't take the endless tease that is applying to law school. I've literally withdrawn from half the schools I've applied to. I'm in at some of my dream schools. And my self-esteem is still in the chicago admissions committees hands for at least the next for hours or so.theconsigliere wrote:The early February wave was 6ish EST tooberek wrote:It might be a reach, but the March 2nd wave was definitely in the evening: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=1500hopeful94 wrote:Wait so we're not giving up home on a wave today? Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I hate to be that guy but I really don't think there's a wave today
I lurked in this thread and in the past two waves, the waves went out 1-2 days after everyone went UR4, and not UR3, which is what happened yesterday. Plus the interviews are still going on today..
Hopefully Chicago proves me wrong but if we're going off precedent I don't think we should expect a wave until next week, once the dates change to UR4.

Not sure what to think of the recent updates from everyone. Got the UR2 right after interview on the 14th, then UR3 on the 15th. No date change since.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
