If I get another 203 call today, I'll let you know if it is for real or not

My hubby got a 203 call during the weekend as well (his cell is my secondary phone no.), but it's from a rental agent in Stamford, CT.
ETA: Attax, seriously, you should call back and check.

Yeah, since you called the number back at it was YLS admissions voicemail, how could it be a prank?
Spoofing a number: where you call from a separate number but code it to show up as a different one on caller ID.

(At least) two others got a call from that number, both of whom are well-known TLSers, and both of whom didn't apply to Yale this cycle.
Spoofing is pretty easy to do. I'm sure it was a troll, unfortunately. And if I was in Attax's position, I would be ir8 as fu**.

Ditto toast. I cannot even imagine how I would react if I ever figured out who it was. That's just really not funny at all. At all.

Yeah, I think those that knew this right as it happened knew I was pretty pissed last night. I'm ultimately upset that whoever did it was someone who I trusted and most likely from this forum somewhere. I am, however, glad that they didn't do their research in regards to applicants and that I was the only actual applicant who is dealing with this.

Congrats, winstonsalem! I think Asha wrote a blog post explaining that faculty review time varies. There are apparently some very early admits (Dec/Jan) who go through faculty review. Maybe he was an auto-admit. But maybe the profs who reviewed his file were quick. Either way, a Yale acceptance is a Yale acceptance.

I'm just as shocked as you guys at how fast the faculty review went.
My stats/softs are 3.59 from a service academy, 180 LSAT, and active military for the last 5 years (one deployment to Afghanistan). Best of luck to the rest of you guys waiting, the calls are going out!

Hey that sounds like me.* ** ***
Asha I am ready.
*except replace "3.59 service academy" with "regular GPA from a regular state school"
**and "180 LSAT" with "not even close to a 180 LSAT"
***and "active military for the last 5 years (one deployment to Afghanistan)" with "KJD." Other than that we are basically twins.

If anyone is curious, I am a YLS student and the admissions office recently told me that they have only admitted about half of the class so far.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
