So if I have a 159 and waitlisted I have 0% chance of getting in basically. Why would they waitlist me in the first place? Would they just have rejected me?

You probably have a 75th percentile GPA, right?

Based on some browsing of this thread, it looks like UCLA thinks it has a shot at a 168 median? Those seem like all the people getting money.

I agree that this is what UCLA seems to be shooting for this cycle. Throwing significant money at splitters, atypical for UCLA.

So I guess anyone on the WL with a 167 is probably not going to get in, why hurt their own median?

I got accepted with 167/3.87 w/money,,, don't loose hope with a 167

WL here. Anyone know how an additional LOR is supposed to be sent? (All the WL FAQ says is: "With respect to new letters of recommendation, they should only be sent if you strongly believe that they illuminate substantially different aspects to your candidacy not covered by the previous letters submitted on your behalf.") I already maxed out with two in my original application, so I can't send it via LSAC. Should I just have the writer send it himself?

Yes you or the writer can just send it directly to the Admissions Office and they will add it to your file. They did for me.

was just notified that I have an WL interview on Monday. I'm really surprised by it because my LSAT is pretty low. I am super grateful though!

Does any one have any recommendations for the interview? What should I expect?

And if my LSAT is low (GPA is high), should I expect any financial aid if accepted?

Do you mind sharing your stats? Or you could pm them if that'd be more comfortable for you ... I'm still hoping for an interview -- it seems it's basically a precursor for acceptance. Dean Schwartz is nice, just be confident, respectful but assured, and, though cliche, yourself.

She didn't say anthing about that. they expected about 82-85 at the event, by my count about 72 showed up.

pretty sure many have committed but that's just how many showed up to the school event.

Thinking back about what was said at the event....i believe they have about 275-280 commits?

The apartment has a large living room and a kitchen with great natural light. Located on Landfair Ave near Strathmore Dr, the apartment is only a 5-10 minute walk from UCLA's campus and Westwood. Rent is $500/month before utilities (gas, electricity, internet). Approximate time: September 23 (the beginning of UCLA's Fall 2013 quarter), to the end of the year.
