Sooo..Im sure I could spend sometime going through threads, but can anyone explain off the cuff - why at this point there are some many people who havent heard back from SLS yet? The application deadline has passed...it seems there has been a few small waves of acceptances - and a small wave of dings. Why does this take so long? Is it that many apps go to different fac. reviews/commit. etc?

the admissions offices at SLS and YLS are going at similar paces. both probably are doing extensive faculty reviews.

Does Stanford take a fair amount of people off the wl usually? I'm a September submit and haven't heard a word. I'm assuming that this is a soft hold headed to eventual WL, but I want to know if I should get myself ready to ride this thing into the summer. STANFORD I JUST WANT TO DEFINE OUR RELATIONSHIP. WHY ARE YOU SO AFRAID OF COMMITMENT.

Harvard, NYU, Berkeley, and Penn. I think that others were earlier but worked it out. It may have something to do with the LSAC.org-->register.com redirect issue lots of people (including me) are having.

No way am I calling Stanford to ask about their status checker.

For the past 60 pages, once a day someone comes on here to complain their status checker isn't working, but this means they aren't using the link from the email they were sent. It became funny because it happened so much, then not funny because it happened so much.

But I'm obviously using the link from the email and it is down.

Yup, and LSAC's website is acting funny for some people. Almost certainly the cause.

Wrong. It was never not funny. It was always just a question of how funny it was.

Btw where the f is my ding letter? Teasing me with DLS then making me wait for the D is the ultimate tease.

This will be the third time in my life that Stanford has rejected me when applying to one of their programs. WTF is wrong with me? Why do I do this to myself?
