I'd say that this is probably the cycle in which it actually wouldn't be considered too late to apply now.. assuming that you have solid numbers. Schools are WL'ing everyone and really taking their time because they're holding out/biding their time to try and recruit the best class possible.. Let's not forget that LAST cycle schools were plucking students well into the summer before classes started up. If you think it's worth it to/you'd stand a decent shot, I say go for it.jbagelboy wrote:Is it too late now to apply to Cornell? Technically its Feb 1, but do you think chances would be severely limited at this point even for someone above both medians? I'm afraid all the seats are taken

I think you should apply. They haven't even started reviewing some early Jan completes yet...jbagelboy wrote:Is it too late now to apply to Cornell? Complete since 1/2. Surprised I haven't been dinged yet. I might send an e-mail offering a blood sacrifice or something.

Do you guys expect a ton of decisions very shortly after Feb 1? I feel like they are taking their time to see what their options are, but don't want to wait too long in case people on the WL end up going elsewhere.

I just got the acceptance email! Submitted 11/11, complete 12/03, updates 12/19, 1/16, and 1/23. No mention of $$, but I think I read earlier in the thread that won't come until March/April since I'm not invited for the Dean's Scholarship. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Complete after 1 day!? I think a lot of us are still stuck at "verifying materials for completion" so that's something of note!JXander wrote:Submitted yesterday, complete today. We will see how this goes...

Whoops, my bad. My materials are being "verified," too. I got this one confused with my Duke application because I submitted both at the same time.steakandchicken wrote:Complete after 1 day!? I submitted on 1/11, and am still stuck on "Verifying materials for completion". Reading through this last page, I guess that is the norm? I had to get my school to send the Dean's Certification form, and I'm getting worried that they haven't sent it yet. I called to check but the lady I asked to do it wasn't there

Hang in there, ALgooner. I've been stuck on "verifying materials..." since 1/4. No DC form, though. From the looks of the dates in this forum, we might have a while left to wait...ALgooner wrote:I submitted on 1/11, and am still stuck on "Verifying materials for completion". I'm in the same boat, minus the Dean's Certification form. Now I'm really wishing I'd applied earlier.ALgooner wrote:I submitted on 1/11, and am still stuck on "Verifying materials for completion". I bet they sent it. I had the same concern, but then turns out they just took kinda long to update my file with it.PRgradBYU wrote:I'm in the same boat, minus the Dean's Certification form.
