When the a new date is shown for a third time it means a decision has been made.

Can anyone confirm the bolded? Does the UR3 date coincide with a DLS/decision?

YMBNH, if you go back through the last 67 pages, you'll see that the pattern has been fairly consistent. If you had an interview, it's usually 3 updates post-interview and one pre-interview. If you're a super-duper, 99th percentile, auto-admit it might just be two updates. Otherwise, 3 updates total.

Cool, I think I'm at my second update but I haven't had an interview request or any of that :/

I was sitting on a first update from November, got a second update last week and then was waitlisted the other day. Figured this might help?

The consensus seems to be an individual, alumni interview means you are a borderline candidate while a group interview invitation means they are gauging your interest for YP purposes. However, I got the feeling at my group interview that Georgetown is really about trying to learn about their applicants as much as they can aside from the written application. Just my two cents.

I think we should have two Georgetown threads, one for all discussion status update related and one for everything else.

I would say the same for Stanford- one thread devoted to discussing the broken status checker and one devoted to everything else- but then we would still only end up with one thread anyway

Heh I'm surprised we still haven't gotten the status checker figured out. Back in October we assumed that your four complete dates were the actual completion followed by 2 URs and then a decision rendered date. FWIW my 4th complete date matched the date on my letter but the actual mail date was later. I wouldn't be surprised if all this stuff has changed at this point in the cycle though.

Had my interview today. Felt like it went pretty well, we talked for a while about law in general, a bit about the hurricane, what I liked about Georgetown, etc. Really nice guy too. Now the waiting game continues...

Yield Protect. Its the theory that someone gets rejected from a school because their numbers are high enough where the school thinks you will get into a better school and not go there. They do this to protect their yield. So theres a larger percentage of students they choose choosing them

Pm me with specific questions for the group interview. I conducted one in NYC with Dean Cornblatt, I'm assuming thats who yours is with as well.
