No ideas what's wrong with it this year, maybe im simply not good enough....but i feel there is little boost for Ed2ers....or perhaps penn always doesnt like internationals....

Fellow international UPenn WL here. 176/PhD. I think I got WLed possiby for YP reasons. But you were an ED! 170/AA, and they still WL you? I feel for you. But you know what? That means there are better offers with more $$ waiting for you somewhere else! Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that guys...

When y'all say waitlist, do you really mean held, or does Penn hold and waitlist ED applicants?

EDIT: Nvm found the answer.

^They have done quite a few RD decisions so far this cycle, but nothing yet this week as far as I can tell. Hopefully they will have another batch before the week ends. Wondering if all the ED2ers have heard back or is there someone ED2 still waiting?

If I haven't heard anything about $$ a few weeks after acceptance, does that mean I missed the boat?

No one has heard anything about money. With the exception of a couple of named scholarship invitations coming via email, everything is sent out in March or early April (unfortunately).

If you were specifically asking about the named scholarships, not hearing for a few weeks might mean you missed the boat, yeah, but I don't know if they've even all gone out yet. It seems like the Wilson and Levy invitations may have already been sent though.

Anyone else wondering why the ASW starts on a Friday? For class observations? I'm not taking a day off of work for that.

I'm pretty sure ASWs everywhere happen at least partially during the week. Anyway there's itineraries on the admitted website so you can decide for yourself if it's worth going or not.

EDIT: wrong thread, i don't know anything about the UPenn ASW

Good to know! I guess I never paid attention to the ASW dates for other schools.

I think I will just schedule my own visit--I'm not really into the whole school spirit thing.

Well, good to know there's still somewhat of a chance. Isn't Penn usually pretty tight with money, though? I want to consider it more but UVA's near-full ride is screaming "come get me!!!"
