This makes me like Columbia a lot more. I think what the HBS applicants did was significantly more shady, but, still, they could've handled it more harshly, which I don't think is called for. I'm glad they were reasonable about it.dakure wrote:They aren't unadmitting anyone. They aren't rendering new judgements. They are changing the PW. Breathe.Dear Admitted Student,
Congratulations on your admission to Columbia Law School. Recently it has come to our attention that login information to the Admitted Student Website has been made public by one of our admitted students. Therefore, we must change the passcode in order to limit access to admitted students only.
We intend to email the new passcode to you in short order. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you refrain from sharing, blogging or otherwise publicizing this proprietary information.

Also this is awesome for all the people that actually are in because they'll get an email to confirm soon!

Phew. So, for people who the decision thing worked for, how sure are we that it's an acceptance? Tell-your-parents sure? Drunken celebrations sure?

1. I started a questions thread here.
2. For what it's worth: last year I submitted 11/24, went complete 12/15, got a grades request 1/5, and was emailed 3/8 saying my decision was in the mail with a scanned copy of the acceptance letter. My point is, they do many batches and you don't know until you know. Don't read too much into what's going on with other people; I know I did last year. Good luck!

Thanks for the input! I think everyone would do well to note that someone who submitted before thanksgiving wasn't admitted until 3/8 last year and was never WLed or dinged!mel2010 wrote:Hey, CLS 1L here...just some notes:

So this means that for people who haven't been on TLS today and haven't gotten their VCE, this may actually be their first notification that they've been accepted? Oh lawd.JustE wrote:Yep, we're screwed...caminante wrote:Thanksdakure wrote:They aren't unadmitting anyone. They aren't rendering new judgements. They are changing the PW. That quoted message wasn't an email. It was the message I got when I tried logging into the ASW a few minutes ago.

How would someone find out about a scholarship? Would it just be in the VCE or do some people get a call?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
