I don't know but I hope so. The 15' MBP is damn expensive.
A 15' MBP would be pretty expensive, for sure!
Just go to apple.com/education and search for STCL. It's there, I think! I bought a 13" MBP w/the education discount a couple weeks ago.

The discount was around $100 on most of the computers when I last checked.

Good idea on the refurb.
I will still buy a new mac, but will use an inside deal I have with an employee at Apple.

My undergrad transcript is gonna be fun for me to get to STCL, since I have to take a couple of classes over the summer, and I should have my degree posted the day before orientation should be (based on previous years).

So...I'm confused...did you guys not submit your transcripts via LSAC? In order to get my applications done, I had to have transcripts on file with LSAC.
Maybe that's why they're taking so long to get back to me - there's some poor schmuck in an office in Houston trying to figure out what I was doing during my 5 years and 4 majors that was undergrad..."What?! And why do we have a transcript from the University of Mexico City?! WHO IS THIS GUY?!?!"

After you are accepted, and before you can "start" class, every school requires an official transcript from your degree granting institution.

Another way for all those organizations to squeeze an extra $10 out of you.

I don't see how people drop 2 grand on a laptop that doesn't even have a 1080p screen!

I'm going with a Sony Vaio C series. Comes out to under $1,300 with i5-2540M, 1gb graphics card, 6gb memory, 750gb hard drive, 1080p screen.

Does STCL really only require degree-granting? CU-Boulder requires any school at which you took classes to submit an official transcript, so I was just adding STCL to my transcript requests at the places I picked up summer classes.
Also, none of my schools require me to pay to get transcripts. o.O

Whoops, I'm not sure. I know they'll at least require degree granting, which for me is actually the only one I attended, my bad.

The decision email says "all degree-granting institutions," so I'm interpreting that as community colleges are not required.

I'm a little surprised, too. But I'm just gonna go ahead and blame it on the group admins not approving those that are clamoring to get in. Zing!
