I'm really hoping to negotiate a bit more as well. Especially if my February retake pans out.Keats wrote:Has anyone had success negotiating for scholarship increases this year or in years past? Wondering how receptive WUSTL tends to be to that sort of thing.

Unless you changed your password, it should be as follows:GoldenGopherHopeful wrote:Anyone remember what the login information is for the ASW?
Your username for the ASBB is your primary email address.
Your password is the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name, and the last four digits of your social security number (or, if you did not include a SSN on your application, the last four digits of the number that was assigned as your SSN on your law school application).
Example:
Applicant, Jane Doe; Primary Email, janedoe@mail.com; SSN, XXX-XX-1234
Username: janedoe@mail.com
Password: jd1234

In order to complete the processing of your financial aid application for Washington University School of Law, you will need to complete the online law school financial aid application for new students. This form can be found at http://law.wustl.edu/admissions/index.asp?id=73 Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
DID ANYONE ELSE GET THIS EVEN THOUGH THEY ALREADY SUBMITTED THE APP AND ALREADY GOT A SCHOLLY?
Kind of confused..

I believe the deadline is tomorrow. They might have just sent it as a courtesy.

Yea. It's for them to figure out loans and such. Just fill it out, no worries!JJDancer wrote:In order to complete the processing of your financial aid application for Washington University School of Law, you will need to complete the online law school financial aid application for new students. Has anyone else emailed them to negotiate a scholly increase? They haven't responded to my email.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about asking for more $. I feel like the scholly I got was a generous gift and that asking would be selfish, but its not like they're going to revoke my acceptance, so why the hell not try for more.Hannibal wrote:You got this when you sent in a scholly negotiation email?kk19131 wrote:"I’d be happy to forward your request to the Scholarship Committee. I said that I'd love to attend, I appreciate the offer and would like to be in St. Louis, but the higher offer and lower tuition at UIUC is a bit too significant to pass up. Something along those lines.FuManChusco wrote:If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about asking for more $. Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
At Saturday's ASD, I overheard an admissions staff member basically say that if you ask for more money, they add you to a list to be reevaluated, but that they won't start looking at this until at least mid-March.kk19131 wrote:"I’d be happy to forward your request to the Scholarship Committee. So what I got from this was basically make sure you contact them, that they won't look at it negatively, but that they will go back through and consider you again if you request it. She also mentioned including other accepted schools and their offers.

Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
Hey, quick questions for anyone who filled out WUSTL's own fin aid thing
So I get to the very end where it asks about property/cars/credit card debt I have, and then at the very bottom, it asks,
"What is the dollar assessment of your financial need?"
and
"With this figure in mind, how much will you need in loans to help you meet that figure?"
Does this mean just for 1 year or over all 3 years? Even if it means just 1 year, how am I supposed to know what my "dollar assessment" is for financial aid?
Say my estimated expenses were $65,000 and I have ... $0 (haven't received a decision yet, so no idea if scholarship). Does that mean my estimate is $65,000 and that I will need $65,000 in loans?
I'm a tad confused lol. Any help?

+1 I filled it out on the assumption that I would be admitted with no scholarship.Perplexed Penguin wrote:That is how I filled it out.PrayingforHYS wrote: Say my estimated expenses were $65,000 and I have ... $0 (haven't received a decision yet, so no idea if scholarship). Keep in mind that whatever loan package they suggest, you can always take less, and you can usually request more and get it without too much trouble.jacketman03 wrote:+1 I filled it out on the assumption that I would be admitted with no scholarship.Perplexed Penguin wrote:That is how I filled it out.PrayingforHYS wrote: Say my estimated expenses were $65,000 and I have ... $0 (haven't received a decision yet, so no idea if scholarship).
