Lol, I bet at the end of it, they will just have a drop box, or Melanie will extend out her hand for the deposit, and everyone will have to drop it in. Beats having to buy a postage stamp!

I'll be helping with that as well....if I choose Wake.
+1

We should make a "Wake down to the wire" club for everyone who will be sending in deposits postmarked March 31st ;)

Oooh, I'll join! I'm withholding a decision until I visit Apr 1 for ASD. :)
Are you still considering FSU? I know you really liked W&L when you went.

I'm still considering FSU as in, I haven't decided to withdraw yet. That's about as much of an answer I can provide right now, haha. And I did love W&L. But as more time goes on, I'm realizing all the benefits of living in a city I take for granted that I would not get if I went to school at W&L.. and would probably go crazy if I went to school in Lexington.

Yes, small town living can be brutal.

Hey sorry for the off topic question but what did you guys wear to the ASD?

Winston gets a bad rep in my opinion. I grew up there and it has about 220,000 people but it is mostly a residential town but it is getting better.

Not super excited about the move from Chapel Hill though

depending on your gender, lol

girls: dress slacks and a blouse/sweater or a dress

boys: dress pants/shirt and tie(not necessary) or khakis and a tucked in polo/button up.

nothing too fancy.

Tuxedo, with tails and a top hat. Your goal is to make an impression not blend in. Hell, I would give someone who showed up in that, my scholly. That is just impressive.

Based on my e-mail there is one on April 1st. I Doubt its an elaborate April fools day prank.

Wake's rep is really good, especailly on the east coast. I think a lot of that has to do with the ranking of the undergraduate program (something like 25). Every time I tell someone I am going to Wake they seem genuinely impressed.

This may have already been discussed, but does Wake offer travel stipends for those wishing to attend one of the open houses?

I don't remember receiving a packet. Got a letter about a week after, scholarship information a month after I was admitted. HTH

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
