The Fordham site/status checker does tend to have problems periodically, though.

Maybe they're just testing a new method of rejection. They just keep the status checker as a 404 Error until you get the point, no hurt feelings.abonda01 wrote:

Is anyone still just complete? To those who have decisions, did your status checker ever change to "under review" or did it just go from complete to decision?

Also waitlisted today.
If Fordham does go to its waitlist to fill remaining spots in the class, does the school just pick people at random who have shown a lot of interest? Or are the waitlisted applicants ranked in some way?

I'm complete 2/2. I'm sure you're a lock with your numbers though.apple1234 wrote:Still complete 2/11. Submitted in early January. Anyone else?
Does anyone know if schools ever save borderline applicants (or lowered numbered people) until last so they can better monitor their lsat/gpa medians (not sure if that even makes sense).

Seems like there's quite a bit of movement today. For those who got a decision, what was your last "complete" date? Not sure if that's reliable at all, but speculation can always sometimes be fun!

To those newly waitlisted - thoughts on the latest date to be notified of a favorable decision? Anyone think a later date may delay a possible decision or affect the outcome?

Re: Fordham 2011
I started to think about this thinking "maybe if i wait longer there could be more spots open because some people might get off the waitlist really late at a t-14 or something and go there instead of fordham, etc"...dariamorgendorffer wrote:To those newly waitlisted - thoughts on the latest date to be notified of a favorable decision? Ultimately, I think I put down some date in late july. My logic is basically that I probably will need the month of august to get things sorted/find an apartment, move in, etc...and if i heard back from fordham any later it just wouldn't be enough to sway me from my other options to rush to put everything together
I think the best way to do it is look at your other schools, look at the costs of the 2nd and 3rd deposits, how much of that can be refunded, etc, and when those deposits are due, and really just pick the date you would like to hear back by/maybe pick a date where you would not have committed too much money elsewhere...
You can probably fret over how picking an earlier or later date could change your chances, but really the only way to know whether this would be the case is to call the admissions office and ask...if not that...just pick when you want to hear...

Re: Fordham 2011
I think I put a date in Aug. I know thats less realistic for some but I live in NY anyway so a month to prepare would be tight but doable for me, I wouldn't be willing to do that for all schools but I think Fordham is worth it, and luckily the deposits at my other schools are not all that much, and while its not ideal I'd be ok with loosing some money to go to a significantly better schooldariamorgendorffer wrote:To those newly waitlisted - thoughts on the latest date to be notified of a favorable decision? to the other waitlisters, when are you guys sending in your LOCI's and are you emailing or snail mailing. Everything I read said snail mail is better but I can't find anything on which Fordham specifically prefers.
