I am at my internship and every 10 minutes or so I text my dad to see if anything came in the mail from W&L...it shouldn't take 4 days to get to AZ...could it?

I am tired of the waiting..I JUST WANT TO KNOW!!!

Yes. Sorry.
Thought so. Oh well....there is always 4 more schools that I haven't heard from.

I wouldn't hazard a guess yet... they had two different acceptance batches go out this week alone.

Are we sure that the 2/17 group is ALL acceptances? Is that for sure how they do it? Cause I thought there was no way I would get in, 2.51/166 great softs, upward trend etc.. No letter today and I had convinced myself it was a ding until I started seeing that all the other 2/17 people were accepts..

I'm a 166/2.6 and my 2/17 was an accept. I didn't think I had a shot either until I got the letter, so I think you might be ok, they must be needing a few splitters.

But no, nothing is for sure.

I think expecting anything outside of what LSN/LSP would have you think, and the probability within those ranges, would be a mistake.

I think we can infer trends in how batches are sent out, but it seems nothing is definitive and it may very well be mixed.

Plus, there is always self-selection that is inherent in all of the data reporting around law schools...people who get rejected or WL'd are probably less inclined to run to their computer to tell everyone about it.

Just changed to Decision Reached today. Now I wait for the letter. It's the 2nd decision of the cycle for me.

No, they automatically let everyone in with a full ride. You get to pick your grades, too.

That being said, they don't reject all that many, they have a very large WL.

Just looking at LSN's, it looks like there are a LOT of waitlists and a lot of range in those who are waitlisted.

Seems kinda like a sketchy practice to corral so many applicants to WL.

Oh well, at least it means the sting of a ding is less likely than the torture of a WL when I hopefully get the mail this afternoon. But I guess it's a de facto ding anyway...

I finalized my app on 2/8, and W&L mailed my acceptance letter on 2/12.

WL! 2/15 batch. I'm actually pretty excited about this though, thought I was an auto-reject!

IN!! 2/17 batch! I guess the whole "batch" logic seems to be accurate. W&L just moved to the top spot for me, only schools that could knock it out might be W&M, GWU, and maybe Wake.

Okay, since I just hit this thread for the first time ever, anyone want to tell me how you came to know that the 2/15ers were WL's, and that the 2/17ers were accepts? My status went to decision mailed on 02/19. If your conclusions about the above dates are mostly accurate, what does that say about us lads and lassies from the 02/19 group?
Also, do they mail priority, overnight, or what?
thanks.

The first person of that batch who gets the mail will post here and the rest of same date people should expect the same answer.... At least, I think it works this way.

I'm debating withdrawing from W&L soon. I won't have a chance to visit my other top choices before W&L's deposit deadline. If the deposit was $100 or $200, I'd be willing to eat the money, but $750 is a lot of money for a school I'm not set on. It sucks, though, because I got a big scholarship and enjoy small-town living, but I want to be able to explore all my options. Sigh, I don't know what to do.
