I actually missed the call, called him back and left a message. Then I saw their Berkeley tweet about not calling back, so I called Dean Tom again...they might think I'm a stalker, but I still got in!

When he said they would send emails, did he mean that they would be sending you (and other accepted people) emails or they would be admitting new people via email?marbletop wrote:No, no other notification. Dean Tom said they would send emails in a week or two, I think. So definitely call him back! I was glad I did.GhostDynasty wrote:Did people who got a phone call also get an email, or people who missed a call and didn't call back, were they notified in some other way. Im freaking out over this question, please answer.
I still believe, Tintin!tintin wrote:not one single non-urm with a 168 has gotten in.

I think both apply, but when he told me that on the phone he definitely meant that I - as an admitted student - would also receive an email. Though I actually think all he said was an admission packet and a change to the status checker would be forthcoming.JohnYuu wrote:When he said they would send emails, did he mean that they would be sending you (and other accepted people) emails or they would be admitting new people via email?marbletop wrote:No, no other notification. Reportedly, you receive an email notifying you that your file has been sent to the review committee, which by the way is comprised of faculty with students only in an advisory role.fidesverita wrote:Just curious, will the online status checker tell you if you app has gone to the student review committee? Or does it just say "under review" the whole time until a decision is made?

Did you see that someone got into NYU with a 169/ 3.81? Theres hope there at least!
An RD person got in with lower numbers than those, actually, although they were URM, HYP, and received a graduate degree.crackberry wrote:He was ED though.ChaotiCait wrote:tintin wrote:not one single non-urm with a 168 has gotten in.
