Re: University of Florida
Went to Under Review by Committee yesterday. 160/3.89 UF undergrad/3.65 UF grad.
Anybody else? What do we think is the timeline on going from URC to decision?
ALSO: What's the story on fin aid/scholarships at UF? Automatic consideration or separate application after admission?

Most of us who applied in the priority pool were went from Under Review to Reviewed by Committee; decision pending. Then weeks (or months) later it changed to Decision Letter in Transit. Who knows how long yours will be since it is so late in the cycle. I will say this- in the wait list letters sent out they said that they had extended all their offers of acceptance already. I'd suspect that if you were accepted it would be sometime in May when the rest of the wait list candidates are re-reviewed, but this is only speculation. Unfortunately, I would mentally prepare for a long wait.. but hopefully I'm wrong! Good luck to yadml wrote:Went to Under Review by Committee yesterday. 160/3.89 UF undergrad/3.65 UF grad.

Re: University of Florida
I spoke with admissions - they were really nice. There will ONLY be WLs or rejects from the secondary pool. I assume if you just went into review, you are in that bunch. She also said MOST of the secondary pool WL or dings will be sent after deposit deadline (May 15), unless they sent you straightaway to review (i.e. April 1). Here's to waiting!tknlacrosse wrote:Most of us who applied in the priority pool were went from Under Review to Reviewed by Committee; decision pending. All offers for merit scholarships were issued by the end of March, with letters going out to alternates at the same time.dml wrote:Went to Under Review by Committee yesterday. 160/3.89 UF undergrad/3.65 UF grad.

All merit/need offers will be issued by the end of April.
If you don't have an award by the beginning of May or a letter saying you're an alternate for one, it looks grim.

Yeah, i mean they did say they would notify the deposit info later, but I would feel like a total dick to accept and then withdraw if I got in to a better school. Oh choices.Smoyf wrote:Also in today via email. Only 48 hours to accept though

I did not receive a call on my cell, but i could have wrote down my home phone on it, which I would never have received.AJaKe wrote:Smoyf wrote:Also in today via email. Only 48 hours to accept though
So ... does this mean they are only doing the 'call and e-mail' double team for some people, or do you think you might have just missed the call?

I have been accepted for some time now, and just made the deposit. If my waitlist dont pan out, I'll be going to UF!

Any waitlist action? I think the deposit was due last Friday. Hopefully some of us will hear back soon.
