It's all in good fun, toto. Your motive for asking is the same as others' motives for the shitpoasting. We're all at whatever the anxiety equivalent of DEFCON 5 is, and we all cope differently. No one? Ok, i'll sit over there by myself.
Seems like this decision might be headed for the Supreme Court, there's a circuit split according to Slate. Will it be upheld?
The four liberals are all in favor, Alito and that idiot are against. Kennedy should vote in favor too. That leaves Roberts and Gorsuch. Roberts doesn't seem particularly anti-gay, but he is pro-corporation (who do not like to get sued for anything). But the legal reasoning and the precedent seem too sound---Roberts does like precedent---and Roberts does not like to see his court nor himself being treated as retrograde in the press. So I'm going with a yes. No idea about Gorsuch (spellchecker is suggesting "Grouch", lol) , but my best guess is that he is not rabidly anti-gay (as opposed to anti abortion ...) and he wants to be influential and needs to build alliances. Voting no here will not achieve any of that. So yes again.
7-2.

Normally I'd be super down with this however I wasn't keen on getting into a political/ideological spat in here and it has the potential to devolve in that direction. That's some shitposting that I don't love. But I appreciate the effortGabriel_is_Satan wrote:Hey, I tried! Yeah TBH Asha could settle the shitpost debate immediately if she started popping off some decisions.seeprybyrun wrote:I sorta want to believe you're actually Dean Asha popping in to taunt us.bs2020 wrote:so this is what happens on a day no emails go out... chaos
