Checked out the HLS entering class on Facebook and there's only 56 people so far. how many do you think they're actually accepted, considering that many haven't joined?

Not really able to answer your question, but I think its a lot more than 56 since anyone accepted Friday would have had to immediately request to join to be included in that number. I waited till later that night (don't wanna seem desperate ya know ) but won't be approved until Monday when the adcoms can accept my request.

Also on that note - are adcoms going to Facebook stalk me..? I don't have anything overtly bad on there, just links of cat videos and stupid buzz feed articles about what kind of cheese I would be.

1. Approximately 10 people in the FB group are current students or assistants.

2. There is an option on fb to view to view your wall as a non-friend would see it - click the "..." button on your page and "view as" public. Being in a group together has no effect.

I know this doesn't directly relate to your question regarding JS1 dates-->JS2s, but I looked on LSN and last year there were really big waves of acceptances on 2/2, 2/3, and 2/4 so I wouldn't worry.

That of course doesn't mean that I didn't spend hours and hours yesterday miserable and thinking that HLS must have decided to set my app on fire.

Yeah, that's what I'm putting my money on. For example, run this link (http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/timeline/chart/) for Harvard and October submissions. The plurality of folks who sent in October are accepted in February. It's the same story for those who sent in November.

I went complete on December 1. I haven't gotten a JS1 yet. Above 75% GPA, below 25% LSAT. Anyone else in the same boat / have an idea if I should expect a JS1 soon?

I heard from a friend who was accepted in the first wave that it took them a very long time to come around to accepting his request to join the group. So I wouldn't be surprised if they just take their sweet time.

Has anyone following the LSAT score cycle data on the spivey blog noticed that the 175+ score % changes are inconsistent with the numbers from last year? I've noticed this with each new post reporting this data, but for example:

the top link shows data as of 1/08/2016, reporting 399 applicants with a score of 175+
the bottom link contains data as of 1/02/2015, reporting 372 applicants with a score of 175+

If the percent change for this cycle is +14.3, that puts 1/08 from last year at 349 - which is below the 372 reported 1 year and 6 days before

Hey all, so since pretty much all the people applying to YHS are in this thread, I'm gonna shamelessly plug (hope that's allowed Mods!) a thread I just posted in the financial aid forum. It's a pretty thorough (read: long lol) analysis of the relative merits of COAP/LIPP/SLS' LRAP. Would love for some input on my analysis for others making this decision, cause I'm sure I may have misinterpreted some of it. Hopefully this is helpful for everyone thinking about LRAPing it from one of those schools!

So they've counted less this year and applying the same standards to last year would decrease those numbers? Is this the take-away?

Aww. I was actively lowering my expectations during the last two rounds of JS2s because I know there are still a lot of people who interviewed in November waiting for JS2s, so I figured that it probably won't be my turn until at least February or something (I interviewed mid-Dec).

I sent out my application literally the first day they start accepting applications, but I’ve not heard anything back from Austin Hall except an e-mail back in September telling me my application is complete. I went complete on 12/10. Still haven't received a JS1. I'm a definite splitter (3.64/177), and I don't know what to make of the wait. Is it a bad sign?

I went complete 12/3, 174/3.9 and haven't heard anything, not sure if that will help you at all but at least you're not alone?
