Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
In via snail mail and a hand-written note from the dean of admissions a few days ago. The note was very personal and a nice touch!

Finally did my alumni interview. I don't know what I was nervous about. It was a pleasant experience all around. Thankfully I didn't get asked whether or not I believe in god.

Also interviewed today. I'm in Texas and they didn't call any of my previous employers motherfuckers or ask about my religious affiliation. Wrong to be disappointed?YeezusPiece wrote:Finally did my alumni interview. I don't know what I was nervous about. It was a pleasant experience all around. My stats are 25<LSAT>75 and GPA>>75
I did. Still silence. Can't log in either. My stats are exactly the same as yours. Dean Cornblatt said two weeks if I remember correctly. Let's hope we hear back sometime this week.

to those of you who submitted a video response, and have subsequently received decisions, how many views did your video get from the adcom?

How long does it take to receive your status tracker after submission?

I know a lot of people have been doing alumni/group interviews the past few weeks. Any decisions? How long have you been waiting? It's been a little over a week for me.

Good to know i'm not the only one. I feel like they have a counter for every time someone tries to request a password and are sitting there laughing at us.secadc11 wrote:Only 6 days for me but have been checking admitted students website like a crazy person.gilessanderson wrote:I know a lot of people have been doing alumni/group interviews the past few weeks. I try to limit myself to 5x/day. I'm failing for the most part.Gray wrote:I for one found out I was in by successfully logging on to the site one morning. I'd already tried twice that day so no judgement from me if you're checking like every hour.

I am in the exact same boat. I keep trying to hold off from calling the admissions office to "make sure everything is okay"Pequod wrote:So... I have been sitting on an ED app for exactly 4 weeks now, without reply. Georgetown was a long shot for me, but now that I have $$ offers from other schools, I am getting antsy to see my rejection in writing (though, not gonna lie, I would still totally cry tears of joy at an acceptance and massive debt). Anyone else go beyond 4 weeks waiting to hear back on a Georgetown early decision app?

It has taken all of my willpower not to call yet. I'm trying to figure out a deadline for when to give in and check. If I do give in, I'll let you know how it goes.Pequod wrote:Gibby06 wrote:I am in the exact same boat. I am torn... should I wait for the inevitable rejection (with less than a lottery's chance of acceptance), or just seal my fate NOW by sending an inquiry email to the admissions office with a ton of intentionally horrible grammar (and possibly even leetspeak)? (The self-sabotage would be for the sake of debt.)
