My understanding is that Stanford reviews applications in the order they are received, with the exception of some that it holds until April. Is that right? If it is, and my complete date is a few weeks before that of some people who were admitted today, is it right to infer that I'm either waitlisted, rejected, or waiting until April? Or am I overreading something that could be happenstance?

I'm thinking people with Sept/Oct/Nov complete dates will be waitlisted/rejected/de facto held. Not sure about the more recent dates.

Mine's mid-December. But there are some people admitted in the thread from early January. I guess it can be +/- a few weeks in complete date terms?

I think so. That's how it's been so far too.

This has to be true because mnindc got in today and applied in Sept. and so did I.

Also, mnindc and I have similar numbers (though his are more Stanford friendly than mine) so I have to accept this out of self-interest.

I'm trying to take comfort in the fact that those accepted today with January complete dates (that we know of) were URMs...maybe the first non-URM January-complete acceptances will come in the next wave

I just got a wonderful phone call from Dean Deal!!! So calls are apparently going out today.

176, 3.8. submitted 12-1, complete 12-10 (I think).
I was expecting a WL so there is hope for people with lower GPAs!

The first dings on TLS were 2/20 last year, I'm quite certain. I didn't cross-check the TLS thread with LSN, though.

In last year's TLS thread they start talking about LSN rejections on the 14th and 15th. I think that the 20th was the first day a TLSer got rejected though.

So I very (very) rarely post on TLS but I wanted to come out of my lurkerdom to say that

I JUST GOT INTO STANFORD!!!!!!! I have been waitlisted the past two years at Stanford so I have literally been waiting for 2 years, 4 months and 12 days for this phone call. Absolutely blown away.

Dean Deal called at 3pm Pacific time

I went complete 11/27
LSAT: 174 (retake)
GPA: 3.9+
