I think that was the most fun, relaxed interview I have EVER had. What a wonderful experience.

You probably can't go wrong either way, but I always prefer to write one rather than not write one.

Sorry if I missed this discussion, but are you guys emailing the thank you note? Or snail mail? Using the general Office of Admissions address?

As a general piece of information, my status date just changed.

A more relevant piece of information is that I also sent a thank you note, it seemed to be well received (though it was probably just a stock reply because it seems similar to what you described), directly to my interviewer's email address. I don't think it's going to make any difference in my decision, though.

I received the update as well. I just interviewed a few days ago. My guess is that it doesn't mean much. Seems like people received it whether or not they interviewed; then again, could be an update for all the people about to be rejected.

I have also had 4 URs, but I wasn't under the impression that it was unusual.
