Personally, I think it fits really well with the only really outstanding part of Fordham - its location. Other schools I've been accepted into have been emphasizing how great their externships, teaching methods, etc. are; but looking at the Fordham promotional materials, the only thing that really stands out are the pictures of NYC they place on every other page.
So at least they're playing to their strengths...
Columbia and NYU emphasize the location as well.
The NY location is a big deal, considering it is a major hub and the biggest legal market in the country.
Being in the same location as the UN and wall street, as well as the head office for many law (and other) firms is a big deal.
Is it the only factor to consider? No.
It's no good being in the same city as the UN if you can't get an internship there (eg NYLS, Touro), but for a school like NYU, it is a reason to pick it over Chicago, or some of the other T14.
Part of the reason Columbia and NYU do so well in biglaw placement, vs say Michigan, is the fact that they're tied in together. At least half the T14 are effectively regional schools, but look at the regions.
When the location is NY, then yes, it is a major selling point and u see no reason why it shouldnt be emphasized - its what makes Forsjam stand out from the rest of the T30 (or is it T29 now?

)
Compared to similarly ranked schools, the quality of the education will be about the same, as will the courses offered. The faculty will be comparable, as will the clinics offered. Honestly, location (and job placement, which is related) is the big differentiator. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or naive. Assuming you get in to similarly ranked schools, the reason to choose Fordham over, say, WUSTL or ASU
