I have one of those, but I'm still gonna have to borrow a little for living expenses, since we'll be splitting the difference between Houston and Aggieland.

no shit? I live in Bryan now and will (at least for the first semester) be doing the same thing. After the first semester, she may move down if she can find a job.

Yeah, we're looking at Cypress, she works at BHS and she's got apps out at all the schools in Harris County, but no school districts are hiring.

I'll be mailing in my deposit today, so it's "tentatively" official, I'll be in Houston in August!

Yeah, I'm still waiting to hear from SMU and I'm riding the WL at WUSTL, but I'm not too confident in either of those options right now.

Got ya. Well congrats anyway, I hope to see you in the fall.

On another note, I received a notification of my financial aid award yesterday. It wasn't the full package, it was just one piece of paper that said what I qualified for. Anyone else get this?

Got one yesterday but it was incorrect, they gave me the numbers for a part time. They are going to change it and send out a corrected version.

For me it was just a response to my submission of my financial aid papers to the school, how much is available and what types of loans they are. If you are looking at going to STCL make sure yu fill out their Financial Aid paperwork soon. I would call the F.A. office and find out what you need to submit.

Does anyone know if STCL has discounts available for computer and software purchases?

I don't know but I hope so. The 15' MBP is damn expensive.

I am not completely helpless, but I would like some reassurance... What else should I be doing right now?

I have completed my FAFSA.
I have mailed in my first seat deposit.
I have RSVPed for the April 30th ASR.
I have requested a copy of my undergrad transcript.*

Am I missing anything???

*I only need to send it in from the school I graduated from, right? I took classes at four different schools, and only two of them were four year universities. I am only sending in the transcript from the last school.

I am also reading law School Confidential because I have no life.

Yes, only from your graduating school. Did you complete the TEG application? Make a note on your calendar to send in the second deposit. Go on a date.

Damn, no credit card option. First time I've written a check in months. Looks like I'll have to overnight it because I waited so long  .
