I assume my lengthy review is due to adcomms waiting to see who deposits and who withdraws. I still think it's a bit unprofessional considering my seat deposit for another one of my top options is due on April 15. Maybe they will have a decision by Monday, but being "in review" for over 2 months is has me perplexed.

Are you numbers at or above their medians/75% ? I'm guessing they arent, not sure whats so perplexing and unprofessional about UMN keeping you under review. If it bothers you you should withdraw and not have to worry about it 8)

It's better than UWashington that left people hanging from October till March. Feb-April sucks, but isn't unexpected.

Maybe you guys are right. I probably wouldn't go here now if I got in, but I'm curious about the decision. It's the only school I haven't heard from out of about 10 apps, so it's aggravating. I thought I'd get denied initially. Then after the lengthy review, I thought perhaps a WL. Now, I have no idea whatsoever.

Yeah I did write a LOCI a while back...I already accepted Inianda's offer as 120k offer is too hard to pass up for such a highly regarded school....I didn't tell the lady on the phone this as I'm curious to if UMN will even have any $ left over this late in the game. I was notified by phone then email, and have 1 week to accept.

Just couldn't do Minn. Withdrawn Friday, even though it was my highest acceptance (8 high-ranked holds/WL still up for grabs, though). That means 22k/year scholly back on the table.

Best of luck, friends.

Eve..no to your question.. I guess that is part of being taken offf WL and not accepted earlier...very large schollies at 3 T30's so no way I will even consider umn. The email financial aid breakdown was all federal ford and grand plus loans. How about you, any luck with a scholly?

Waiting for Review?

Post by desrea777 » Wed Apr 13, 2011 5:33 pm

I've been "Waiting for Review" since 3/4. Do they update that site pretty regularly or is it like some of the other schools I've applied to where I got a response while the applicant status site still said things like "pending review" or "application received"? Is anyone out there still in "waiting for review" status? My numbers are 164/3.17 so I'm not expecting a positive outcome anyway (a couple decent 'softs' - military veteran, etc. - for whatever that matters to them), but just thought I'd see what you all thought as far as being in that status this late in the game. Thanks!

I'm looking for some roommates to help cut costs and maintain sanity. Anyone looking to live in Uptown?
