i'll keep you guys posted. My mailman kind of sucks and sometimes doesn't get to my house unitl 4:30pm. Oh well, it's not like I haven't already been waiting all these days for that damn letter.

Are you saying 4:30 EST or 7:30 EST? Thanks and good luck!

I'm starting to freak out. I wish we could just get an e-mail with the decision instead of this agonizing wait. It simply makes no sense to tell someone DF on their status checker, and then make them wait a week for the mail to deny them. I'm not saying that is definitely going to happen this time. But BC did this same BS to me, got my hopes up, and then crushed my dreams with a stupid letter that I waited a week for(but I hate BC so whatevs). Who the hell thought of that? And btw, I've applied to 35 schools and BC and USC are the only two that tell you DF then make you wait a week for the letter (I’ve been dinged about 12 times). I'm sure everyone would rather they just sent an e-mail, then a letter, or in my opinion, save the fuc*ing paper and just send an e-mail!

If this is an acceptance, it still would have been better to just check the mail and see it. But at the very least no one should be dinged this way. I’m truly astonished by their idiocy.

I still love you USC! Everyone makes mistakes. Please let us in!

I have made similar post couple of times..but I began to lose my patience day by day.
I just envy you whoever got anyway 'DF 2/7' because I'm still 'COMPLETE' 11/16 !! not even IR!!

Should I try to contact the admission office asking whether they might lose my files, or just wait for another 100 years??

^ I think the wait is typical for them. There were a few others in the thread also complete from November, IIRC.

I sent a "Why USC" essay yesterday...hated feeling so damn helpless from the waiting.

My mail carrier usually comes around 12:30 PST, but of course on the day that I really want to check the mail, the carrier is late. I have to leave home soon and won't be home until after 8, so I guess I'll have to wait until then. Oh well.

That person got into almost every school in the top 20, but Yale. Not that we can gather anything from that, but still. Hope we are in soooo bad though!

Yes I was in the 2/7 group and received a small envelope (small enough to disguise itself as a rejection letter), was scared to open it at first. Also, I live just a block away from USC.
