Re: Washington and Lee
No you are mistaken.
They provide $300 for travel expenses. They provide the lodging free. I think when you register THROUGH WLU, they get you a room. So you don't have to pay diddly squat for lodging.
For travel, on the other hand, you pay first, and they reimburse you later...
Edited to mention that if you want a single room, they will take away $50 from your $300 for every night. I'd rather share..

Don't worry about not going under review. I went from application complete to decision rendered.

My professor from UG is from there... it is literally a VERY SMALL town. You will not find much to do there AT ALL. Is there even ONE bar? You gotta make your own fun over there, lol.
WLU sounds like it would be the suburban life.... which is why I'm extremely hesitant actually going to it (and which is why I want to do ASW to see for myself). It's a whole 'nother thing after living in NYC most of my life, lol.

I went to undergrad at W&L. Lexington really doesn't have a "bar scene" to speak of -- undergrad social schedule revolves around greek life and law students tend to go to house parties and social events put on by the law school (kegs on the law school lawn, occasional socials at Lexington restaurants, hotels, etc.)cpboy77 wrote:Yikes, how few is "not too many?"MarkRenton wrote:I just googled "bars in Lexington, VA". There are a few bars -- the Palms and Macados are fairly unremarkable college bars, and the Southern Inn is more upscale and attached to a restaurant with Southern cuisine. Bars in the Sheridan Livery and Bistro on Main restaurants aren't frequented by undergrads or law students.
Hope this helps.

Helps in terms of providing information. Not helpful in terms of me getting drunk.

My decision was mailed today. Since everyone got in this week, is it safe to assume that I am in the rejection batch?

Who knows what happened this week, I had DR earlier this week and I expect a rejection or possibly waitlist.
