Not sure whether to keep staring at my land line, my cell phone, my email, or the bird that just landed on my balcony with a scrap of paper in its mouth. I wish that I had more work to do in order to distract me, but I would love any sort of communication from Boalt; it would completely make my week.

Ugh... I've been following this thread since submitting 10/31, and the more calls that go out the more discouraged I feel. I'm starting to think at this rate (apps up 10% this year so far?!), I'll be lucky to get into my "safety" schools!

I really hope they like my PS, because I think it's my best hope... the number of high LSAT admits so far aren't making me feel any better about my chances!!

I don't have any exams this term, thanks to strategic scheduling and the honors thesis (which allowed me to take just two courses). My final papers were written by the end of Thanksgiving break; I just need to add bibliographies before dropping them off on Monday, and that action will constitute my "finals" for the fall.

My status checker is not updated. Earlier on in this thread, another poster mentioned that Dean T told him that the status checker would not be updated for several days for the new admits.

I think that I will enjoy it more than ever, with the law-school pressure released by then. Moreover, I'll have to make a special effort to get as much as I can out of my last few months there if I end up somewhere else next fall.

No, no other notification. Dean Tom said they would send emails in a week or two, I think. So definitely call him back! I was glad I did.

TLS is an addiction that you won't kick before the spring. I'm fortunate that I didn't succumb until relatively recently.

5 finals 3 papers...papers done, finals still going....

Hmmm, if he said that they will not be emailing for a while, then it might be the case that he simply has time to call now--and decisions may have been made a while ago.
