Re: NYU 2010
Held for regular decision, letter dated 12/15, received this morning
169/3.8
My GPA is going to drop a tiny bit this semester, maybe go to a 3.77. How does one approach the situation from here, and what are my chances?
I can have a professor from this past fall write another letter of rec. Can I take the february LSAT?
I'm frustrated as hell because I took the LSAT twice, scored 168 and 169, and both were major under-performances, I was consistently scoring 175+ in practices, and would have gotten in for sure if I had just maintained my composure on either one of these tests
Any advice appreciated

Decision rendered the 9th... still don't have it. FUCK USPS. I am starting to get furious about this. I don't even give a shit anymore what the decision is... I just want to know. Of course the admission rep told me yesterday not to worry but TEN DAYS LATER... I have plenty of reason to worry.

Woohoo! Just got my purple envelope in the mail. As a reverse splitter with a sub 25% LSAT, I didn't think my chances were strong at all. I am so excited!
I guess NYU does care about GPAs and Softs

Re: NYU 2010
Has anybody gotten word about interviews for their special programs with their acceptance material?
Specifically anybody hear about the leadership in business and law program? Or are decisions about that made later in the cycle?

Holy crap! IN! Sent late November, decision 12/14 via snail mail, recieved today, no idea when I went complete (no e-mail). 171/3.9. I'm in the pacific nw btw.
I was so excited when I was opening the purple envelope that I ripped the acceptance letter a bit. Hope that doesn't void the acceptance...
