Need need need NYU and a JS1 wave. Also hoping to hear back from Texas.
Truth truth truth (except your Texas is my Northwestern. And Cornell. And..uh. Getting greedy here.)

This ALMOST happened to me so now it's got me thinking... what would happen if we get a ticket *after* all our apps have been submitted? Do we write an addendum about it? What about the places we've been accepted to? I was pulled over this past weekend for improper lane passing but the officer just let me go because he said I seemed genuinely apologetic and I have nothing on my record, but now I'm wondering what I would have to do if I had gotten a ticket.

I hope the rumors about Y releasing their first wave is true. It would also be great to get a JS1 and/or a S decision. Pretty much an Xmas miracle.

I'd like Texas, NU, and USC to have big (positive) waves.

Y'all can hold onto your dings for 2018. 2017 doesn't need any more help being a dumpster fire.

Do you guys know if submitting a "Why X" essay after my application is already under review would look good/bad/weird? I'm getting antsy, esp after being put on hold at Cornell and Georgetown, and want to enhance my apps if possible at this point.

Does anyone else feel a little awkward when being admitted over the phone? I want to convey how excited I am but also be professional, and it ends up a weird, strained mix of the two.

For me it's awkward because I'm at work and I don't want anyone to know I'm applying to ls...I end up using very vague descriptors and going "Wow! I'm so excited about that thing you just said!"

Yeah, I like jog out of my office to take calls now! This is the most I've answered calls from random numbers in my life. LOL

I don't answer my phone unless I am expecting a call (like an interview) or recognize the number (and it would have to be a relative or someone who is watching over my offspring while I am at work.) Period. End of story. They aren't going to mark down your scholarships for not picking up!

Nope. The largest scholarship amount I got last cycle was from the highest ranked school I got into. I also believe I got nothing from 2 of my lowest ranked schools, if I remember correctly

Hi all, I just received a job offer at an impressive law firm and of course I want the admissions officers where I've applied to be aware of that development. Does anyone know how to go about doing that? Should I just send them an email saying that I have this new job?

Are you planning to take the job and then leave in 8 months? Not sure how schools would look at that, perhaps someone else can chime in.

But if you take it and want to let schools know, I'd just re-work your resume and then email admissions asking them to append your updated resume to your file to reflect a change in employment.

Yes, I do plan on accepting it. The firm is aware that I intend on going to law school in the fall and that I'm only available for 8 months. Why do you think that would look a certain way to schools?

Took my first PT in 3 months and got a better score than my reportable one.

Cruel LSAT sirens draw me ever closer to another underperforming retake.
