yeah I'm not going to lie when I see the thread has jumped forward five pages and it's just really strong feelings about pets it makes me die inside a little bit. how about we all just compare adorable animal photos at ASW y/n??

there are 3885838227374 online forums for cat lovers and for dog lovers. I didn't realize it was necessary to discuss how cats are superior entities on this thread.

I apologize if my FIRST post on this thread (Gasp) was so triggering to you all though
so...you agree that cats >>>> dogs?

No one? Ok, i'll sit over there by myself.
Let's try and talk about something else than cats :-)

Seems like this decision might be headed for the Supreme Court, there's a circuit split according to Slate. Will it be upheld?

The four liberals are all in favor, Alito and that idiot are against. Kennedy should vote in favor too. That leaves Roberts and Gorsuch. Roberts doesn't seem particularly anti-gay, but he is pro-corporation (who do not like to get sued for anything). But the legal reasoning and the precedent seem too sound---Roberts does like precedent---and Roberts does not like to see his court nor himself being treated as retrograde in the press. So I'm going with a yes. No idea about Gorsuch (spellchecker is suggesting "Grouch", lol) , but my best guess is that he is not rabidly anti-gay (as opposed to anti abortion ...) and he wants to be influential and needs to build alliances. Voting no here will not achieve any of that. So yes again.

7-2.

Thoughts?

It was tea for me, not water, but you're right. That was funny. I hope I'll meet cmkk13 at YLS, who better have a deep voice and a British accent!

A simple request to go on-topic elicits two pages of off-topic responses. Yep, sounds about right.

Also, this thread has barely had any off topic posting for 6 months and it probably won't last after work hours, so, like, just deal with it. Or don't.
Also, like, what a lie. We talked about cats AND Title VII.

Lollll yeah that was my bad. I will never suggest that people post about things remotely related to law school on a top-law-schools thread ever again. Sorry everyone

Yeah come on we all know that only shitposters and people "checking in" are the only ones allowed to ask others to be considerate!
How many posts do you have to have on a thread before you're allowed to make a simple suggestion? Let's make a poll
