Re: Duke Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Got waitlisted. An odd thing is that from my inbox, it says I received the e-mail at 12:01 am this morning, but when I read the message, it says it was received at 2:51pm yesterday afternoon. I definitely didn't get it yesterday afternoon though since I checked my e-mail several times last night.
Anyway, not at all surprised. When I saw how keen Duke is on people explicitly articulating why they want to attend Duke - something I didn't do - I figured it would be a bit of a stretch to get accepted. Also because I'm a splitter and I'm only at their LSAT median.

I'm LSAT > 75, 25 < GPA < 50 and wrote a "Why Duke" (my only why X essay) and still got waitlisted. Just luck of the draw sometimes I guessInstrumental wrote:Got waitlisted. Sorry to hear about the waitlist. But on your email point, that's been happening to me a lot. With Cornell, the last Duke weekly, and some other law school related emails. I don't know if it's my email or perhaps it's LSACInstrumental wrote:Got waitlisted. It's been happening to me too. My Texas scholarship offer didn't get to me until 5AM but it was sent at 7. Its weirdKeilz wrote:

does Duke ever really lowball people? or is LSN a good indicator of what to expect? I doubt anyone knows the answer to this tho.

yeah, I still have a date and interviewed on the 26th. I'll hold out hope until I see someone confirm a new wave, but I suspect it'll be another week for me :/GOODWORKSTE wrote:No, interviewed on 24 of JanDr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Anybody newly blank yet today?

Anybody here not do a scholarship interview? I've had to cancel mine twice, and now the only times I can realistically do an interview are all in late March with my current work schedule... If I decide not to reschedule, I'm wondering how much this will hurt me in negotiating given that I already have some scholarship leverage from other T-14s?
