I'm around a month out now, and have not heard.

This scholarship interview stuff is a bit ludicrious. Why do we need to wait weeks and weeks to interview for a scholarship? Literally no other school does this.

I thought the interviews were a form of YP but now it appears all candidates are being asked to do them.

Maybe scholarship YP, but once admitted a student affects yield.

Maybe that's why you're only "provisionally admitted" before you schedule/decline the scholarship interview?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they changed that language awhile back. People are just admitted or not; scholarship interview is optional.

Language was still in place when I was admitted late February. Besides, rejecting you from a provisional admittance because you didn't wholeheartidly interested in Duke seems like bad faith to the extreme. I'd surmise LSAC would frown on it as well.

Yeah my language was shoddy. I mean scholarship YP. Wouldn't want to not extend an offer to an interested student because you wasted all of the available scholarship money to be offered on offers to students who will end up going to Yale anyway but not until the last minute =)

UR2 today finally! Now to wait for a decision.....

UR1 was 12/8 if anyone cares to know or was in that group that is thinking of giving up hope.

Finally decision made; although, I don't think it's a good thing considering I never went UR2. I was UR1 12/8. I guess we'll know soon...

EDIT: Just as I thought, not an acceptance. Priority reserve. Withdrew. Good luck all!

Sorry if this question has been asked/answered a lot before, but I was wondering what the advantages of doing the scholarship interview are? I'm kind of confused as to what it is or why they bother, given that they also receive your FAFSA and NeedAccess forms
