I'm still thinking this week for the next round of acceptances. I initially said Tuesday, but I bet it will be closer to Thursday or Friday.midwest17 wrote:Last time, there was a wave of interview invites a week before decisions went out, and I think there were also a lot of date changes for people receiving an acceptance. We haven't seen either of those things, have we?SteelPenguin wrote:I'm going to speculate that decisions will be this week, probably Friday.
My money is on interview invites this week (this evening, if the pattern holds) and decisions next Tuesday.

Is there any rhyme or reason to Chicago's admissions timing? I feel like some people who submitted in October are still waiting/ sans interview. It cannot possibly take that long to evaluate applications and talk to people on Skype.

Thanks! You've probably lowered my average daily heart rate ~5bpm for the next few weeks.MrMileyCyrus wrote:No. There's delay between UR2 and an interview request. I got my interview request about two weeks after I went UR2. Some people have gone two months in between, if I recall correctly. Should've been keeping track via spreadsheet I know.
Anyway, are Interview requests simultaneous to UR2? That is, if I don't have an interview request is this a rejection?

How do you differentiate between UR1 and UR2. I want UR on 1/30 and it still says UR but the date is now 2/9. That seems like a pretty short time. App received 12/16, Complete 1/7, UR 1/30 and now this US with 2/9. Ding coming?

What's TCR for Rubys this late in the cycle - especially for those of us still waiting on an interview invite?

In previous years there have been multiple waves of Rubys. I think my cycle had the second wave in the first week of March.Optimist Prime wrote:What's TCR for Rubys this late in the cycle - especially for those of us still waiting on an interview invite?

Your 1/30 is UR1, your 2/9 is probably UR2 (unless there was another date change in between). Your next date change while still being Under Review would be UR3. The numbers just refer to the chronology of the date changes.Straightgrain08 wrote:How do you differentiate between UR1 and UR2. I want UR on 1/30 and it still says UR but the date is now 2/9. So your status checker actually changes from "Complete" to "Under Review"?
I know for NU, we refer to UR and complete as the same thing.
But I didn't know if that was the case for UChi, since I have been "Complete" since 1/17 but it has never said "Under Review."
They seem slow.

But, yes, you're right. At NU you go from Complete to Decision Letter Available in 24 hours.
UChi goes from Complete through 3 URs (including an interview request).
I would imagine a UR1 for you soon. Once you get there, they are relatively quick for a t14.

What UR are you?jaesonko wrote:how long does it typically take to get invited to an interview? I submitted early December and am above both medians but haven't received an invite yet
I just asked this question, and I was told there is typically a 2 week period between UR2 and Interview Request.

Actually, I think there are four stages of UR. One or two before interviews, then two after (one hits immediately, then another date change happens a few days later).yossarian71 wrote:Use this thread "What to Expect When You're Expecting" for status checker questions: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=221178leigh912198972 wrote:So your status checker actually changes from "Complete" to "Under Review"?

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
It's probably tough to standardize this. At this point, most interview invites that will be part of the first (and only) big admit waves have happened, and so from here on out it will be more scattered.jaesonko wrote:how long does it typically take to get invited to an interview? I don't mean that to discourage you, I think being above both medians makes your chances of both getting in and getting a large scholarship very very good, it just probably won't happen as part of one of the giant waves. Just do your best to stay patient and optimistic that good news will come!

+1. Additionally, I never had a UR2 before the interview invite.Nonconsecutive wrote:It took me over two months to be invited, so I wouldn't be too concerned yet.jaesonko wrote:how long does it typically take to get invited to an interview? It varies. I had one UR pre-interview, and two after (so far).AFP wrote:Actually, I think there are four stages of UR.
